This past Saturday I married my best friend and soul-mate. I somehow managed to choke back the tears that were welling up as she walked down the aisle. It was a beautiful day that marked the beginning of our lives together, and I'm happier than I've ever been.
I probably seem like a big dummy gushing about it, but I still feel like I'm walking on air. I'd never in my wildest dreams thought that I'd marry a woman as loyal and supportive as she is. I love her so much, and she loves me more than anyone I've ever known, far more than I thought anyone capable.
It's taken a ton of work to get this far, but the work is really just beginning. Knowing that I have someone who truly loves me to be by my side through the struggles (and the fun) is exciting. This is going to be awesome.

If it is indeed your birthday, you trickster. Either way, here's a map I put together entitled "Essel's Birthday Cave". Runs on Doom2 map01, limit-removing.
Happy birthday, brah.
|Smartphones||December 11, 2010, 10:08 pm|
I got myself a Droid X today. I've never had a non-prepaid phone before, and I was a bit wary of going on a payment plan, but this thing was too bad-ass to pass up. The main sell for me was having fast net access anywhere. I'm posting this from it right now, hurray!
I love having the ability to research something on demand. I'm naturally inquisitive, and probably twenty or more times a day I wonder how something works, or what this or that is called. At work I don't have net access, so I usually write down what I'm thinking and look it up when I get home. But no more!
I've been checking out the apps all evening. I'm quite overwhelmed by how many cool things can be done with this. Merry Christmas to me.
|Skydiving||July 7, 2010, 9:10 pm|
I did my first jump today, a tandem jump from 14 thousand feet. It definitely ranks among the most intense experiences of my life. Standing at the edge of the door and falling out into nothing was absolutely mind-numbingly incredible.
Anyone else ever been?
|My turn||March 30, 2010, 9:43 am|
So yeah, today is my 28th birthday. There's a torrential downpour going on so I don't see much of anything cool happening today.
I was going to get the MW2 map pack as a self-gift, but now I'm reading that it's not working, so I'll wait on that. I'll probably just get drunk later.
Truly epic, I know.
To alleviate some of the boredom of this rainy day, I put together this song. It's an arrangement of the music from E2M2. Happy Megalyth's birthday, Doomworld!
|My first gun||March 5, 2010, 4:52 pm|
I bought my first gun today, a Mossberg 500a. It's a 12 gauge pump action with retractible stock and shell holder. It's seriously rugged and I love it.

|Meager musical offerings||May 16, 2009, 7:54 am|
I began dabbling in music composition in the summer of last year. I'm still learning, and I work a full-time job with overtime, so I can't put as much time into this as I'd like, but I think my songs generally sound pretty decent.
I uploaded the completed songs on the audio portal of Newgrounds because it seems to be a popular, accessible music community. There may be better music sharing sites, I don't know, I never really looked. If you know of any, please post links for me.
Anyway, my music is here - Linked for Great Justice
There are some videogame music remixes/remakes, and a few original songs. I haven't done any Doom music yet, but for every song up there, I have three in the works, so maybe eventually I'll do some Doom stuff.
