I ordered the parts for a new desktop yesterday and then realized that the motherboard doesn't have an IDE interface for one of my old hard drives and my old DVD burner. The prices of IDE to SATA adapters seemed a bit steep on NewEgg, so to eBay I went! I ordered two adapters for less than $5 including free shipping from China. Thank you, China. Thank you for your ridiculously cheap electronics. |

| Louis C.K. | November 15, 2010, 12:32 am |
![]() My wife and I saw Louis C.K. perform stand-up last night in Portland. We have never laughed so much or so hard in our lives. It was two hours of brilliance. I've seen videos of his three most recent routines, but seeing him live was something else. Anybody else a fan of Louis? |

I'm drinking Stone's Emperial IPA right now. It's so beautiful, I want to cry. Hopheads, what are your favorite IPAs? My top 3 are this, Pliny the Elder, and Ruination. |

| Woooo, Tron | February 12, 2008, 12:04 am |
| I'm driving up to Seattle on the 24th to see Tron on the big screen. And this is no ordinary theater, it's a really fucking big one using 70mm film. I'm excited in a super-nerdy way. I must not forget to wear my Tron jacket. | |

How about a BSOD?![]() I ran into this tonight at the grocery store. I really don't understand why linux isn't used for applications like this. The inkjet cartridge refilling machines at Walgreens use Windows as well. |
