I was trying to think of a good way to make the review indices on my Doom Blog more readable. The WADs by author page had gotten a bit too big, and I could only see it getting bigger as I continued updating. I also had three different indexes for users to search for reviews based on filename, given title, and date.
I tackled both using plugins developed for JQuery, one of which let me create a sortable table so any reader can organize the list based on his or her chosen criteria. The other just shows and hides the author's reviewed works when you click on their name. It doesn't look sexy, but it's functional, and at the moment that's all I cared about.
The hard part was really just stripping out all the garbage blogger generates in the blog posts. Deleting most of it wasn't that hard but there was enough trash left over to make it kind of tedious. But it's done now, and I'm feelin' pretty groovy!
