  1. DoomsDay'95

    þ Official original DoomsDay'95 DooM2 level.
þ This is a DEATHMATCH level ONLY!
þ This is a small level without monsters. It was designed for the DooM2 Swiss Championship that was held in Bern the 19th March 1995.
þ The WADfile is really huge because we had to avoid restarting DooM.exe everytime a player exits the first level. That's why the 6 first levels were replaced, as well as for the music.
þ The design of the level was studied for 4 player deathmatches only.
þ There are some secret rooms.

  2. Darkmatch Combo

Darkmatch Combo is a combination of two small and furious DM maps - Darkmatch1: Hardcore & and Darkmatch2: Retribution. This "combo" version includes the necessary textures and flats so no additional files are required.

This wad includes graphics from "probably THE greatest DooM add-on in History... DARKENING E2." (Once again Ebola bows in respect of the great authors)

  3. The Stronghold

I made three deathmatch wads a while ago and finally decided to release them to the idgames ftp. This is one of them. In this map, you're going to be fighting in a military base with a central stronghold. Guys in the stronghold are a bit harder to get at, and can shoot your foot as you run past, so be careful. Weapons 3-5 can be found in the level for your convenience.

  4. Subterranean Prison

I made three deathmatch wads a while ago and finally decided to release them to the idgames ftp. This is one of them. In this map, you're going to be fighting in a subterranean prison with a central arena and dark tunnels around the cells. Teleport to the rocket launcher or SSG and then drop to the arena to play with your new toy. Weapons 3-5 are in the map for you to fight with.

  5. Computer Core

I made three deathmatch wads a while ago and finally decided to release them to the idgames ftp. This is one of them. In this map, you're going to be fighting in a computer core station deep underground. Hurry to the storage rooms to grab the heavy weapons, and try get through the security door that teleports to the blue armor. Strike your enemies with weapons 3-5 before you get exterminated!

  6. Fountain of Pain

This is a map for Deathmatch only. It has a bunch of fun stuff in it, enough arms, ammo, health to subsist on, big open areas, cramped coridors and walls, traps, hidden stuff... not to mention a big fountain in the center of the arena.

  8. deathz0r1

1 On 1 arena level. You can put in 1 or 2 more players, but you'll be expecting a quick match. I did a nice invisible moving floor sector in the middle of the level.

Four ammo-filled halls wrapped in together with windows and teleports. Great flow, if you can jump, and it can accomodate 16 players. Oh, and it's a deathmatch map.

  11. Omni-Directional Clusterfuck (dm_dn01.wad)

This is a small but fast paced deathmatch level designed to hit the fraglimit in the smallest amount of time possible. There are no health or armor powerups. There is no BFG. There are no secrets. There are no unfair advantages. There are plenty of places to run and hide behind quickly so the battles all boil down to the skill of the players.

I recommend using zDaemon for netplay.

  12. Oversimplified Complexity (dm_dn02.wad)

A somewhat bland little level I threw together in an effort only to improve my skills at map editing. You'll need steady aim on this one.

I recommend using zDaemon for netplay.

  13. Last Blood (dm_dn03.wad)

This deathmatch level is so named because it's most likely going to be the last level I make. As you expect this is another exceptionally fair map but due to design and layout lots of strategy and quick thinking will be needed to survive.

Intended with item respawning turned on.

I recommend using zDaemon for netplay.

  24. Mark And Dave Are No Longer Friendly Buggers Who Say Hello When They Meet In the Street!!!!!!!!!<br>

More deathmatching antics, this time for Doom 2 only. Also, Dave has done some real work on this one. Why the name? To prevent confusion with the Doom 2 version of Mark & Dave's Deathmatch No. 1 (MB_DCT2.WAD).

  25. FRAGMENTATION

I was originally going to title this "Frag Mountain" but the SP_ROCK1 texture was giving the gray guy a bit of an unfair advantage. It is a bit amateurish by today's standards, but should rock on any platform, including vanilla DOOM II. In case of complaints of the exit being too easily accessible, ZDOOMers can turn the option to allow players to exit off.

This level is really more suitable for part of a DM megawad than a stand-alone due to its small size. Please email me if you plan on using the level in your megawad.

2.5/5   Core combat is a strength. It's brisk and easy, and you'll be using the SSG to double-kill imps, pellet-slap mancubi's bellies, and get a firm grip on boners in your area. Apart from that, I found the experience lacking. Visuals, though okay, suffer from alignment issues. Wandering back to the exit door, far from its requisite key, accounted for a good chunk of my five minutes playing.

Lakeside might also be named Loopside: every major area appears on your itinerary no less than twice, no backtracking. Don't want to pick off cliff imps in the start area? Pouring bullets into a fatso too slow? Ignore those Bezos. Come back with a bigger weapon.   Though the whole arsenal minus the BFG appears at some point, I ended up replaying this and restricting my options to the berserk fist and the carefully rationed plasma rifle. Naturally that implies a lot of punching, with the motley cast -- 89 monsters, many punchable, many not -- offering a slate of tricky, fun Tyson challenges. To get a max this way, navigating a pair of hectic infight-baiting scenarios is pretty much mandatory. I loved it. It makes good pugilistic practice. There is even a {spoiler}demon to fist.   This is a speedmap, also a positive! Speedmaps have two big traps to avoid: the first is outright sucking, the second is having no ideas and half-baked content. Once they do both, I usually like them.

In Bricked, Rhys does nothing offensive. Over 10-20 minutes of play, depending on pace and completionism, you can expect fair and balanced combat, and a gradual ramp-up through the arsenal and bestiary, starting at the bottom and settling before the BFG and big bosses come out. I'd describe the dominant theme as "stock brown," with help from assets like computer panels, the silver starbase cluster, and CEMENT (the bathroom tile suite).   Having played many user maps, I've seen a lot of all of this before. It's okay, but little stood out. I liked the fighting most in the larger spaces, which allowed me to go out of my way to get numerous factions infighting. Interactive triggers like lifts and stairbuilders and optional switches are more common than average, and they are used smoothly (which is important, because extra machinery is simply a detriment if it's awkward and inscrutable).   Note: though the tally lists eight secrets, two are errant flags on a window sill.

Played at UV with keyboard only (as I always do). EPIC II is a very good megawad with challenging gameplay and very beautiful textures. After MAP 19 there're a lot of tough encounters, mostly with wave of chaingunners and cyberdemons in tight spots as well as frequent usage of archvile in all maps (with MAP 29 having 87 archviles at UV!).Thankfully the author gives enough ammo and powerups to deal with them, so it's fair game. However, a complain I have is in 3 or so maps the author uses teleporting cyberdemon to create artificial difficult to the player and in my opinion it's dumb enough to warrant the loss 0.5 less star. My final score is 4.5/5, but doomworld rating system doesn't allow this so I'm gonna rate it 5 stars. I will certainly replay this one and would recommend UV difficult only for advanced players.

Solid wad with a purple color scheme and new enemies.  Music choices are enjoyable, difficulty starts off low and ramps up considerably towards the end.  MAP07's end was a total beef wall, though.  Make sure you find all the secrets in that one if you want to stand a chance.   All around, no bad maps in this wad.  Four stars.
