  2. Lava Pit DeathMatch

This is also a small map around 'lilipads' and 'flowers' since the rings are the 'lilipads' and the towers are the 'flowers' while the lava is the 'water', so to speak.

Safe spots and Rad Suits are provided yet also playing with Dropped Weapons and No Left Weapons can really provide more screw jobs here like my previous DeathMatch wad. ~Enjoy

  3. Doomkid's Duelzones!

Here we have 7 duel maps which I've worked very hard on perfecting. I know it's a bit less than my previous releases, but the lesson here is quality over quantity! The texturing is cleaner than my old stuff, but more importantly, the item and weapon placement is FAR superior. These are designed to be true skilltesters - You'll have to know exactly what weapon to use and when to defeat your foes, and use of enviromental cover is crucial to victory. Simply put, I went in with a "designed for tournament use" mentality. A big thankyou to MrCrispy, Decay, Ru5tK1ng, The_Miano and a few other beauties out there for your critiques and advice while constucting this set. It's because of your input that these turned out nicely, rather than just another "king of the items" DK_DM mapset.

  6. Judas32

This is a DM level designed for 1-on-1 duels, inspired by Judas23. WARNING: The new background music is a .MIDI file, so you'll listen to it only if you use a port that can play it, such as ZDoom-based ports (ZDoom, GZDoom, ZDaemon...).

  8. JLabs (AKA, "Joe's Labs")

About a year or two ago, I began working on a co-op wad that I was not too happy with. At one point, I got the brainy idea of modifying MAP01 from my wad and turning it into a Death Match version, with revamped architecture and improved flow. The rest of the wad wasn't that great, and I didn't really think any of my other maps would go well with this -- so we have the final incarnation of MAP01, from my old co-op wad, in DM format!

  22. Jumping Jack Flash

My first try for a DM level (and the first published try at all!). It is small but has some obstacles ("Jumpin'") and many many teleports ("Flash") that teleport in a different way if you enter them in a different way. I designed the level with extensive jumping in mind, so you should play it with a source port capable of jumping high enough, or you'll find the level useless. If you are into fast fragging and telefragging, you should really give it a try. Tactics are important, too.

  24. Liquid

Four Boom enhanced, Quake 2 inspired DM maps. I say Q2 inspired because of the damage sectors, although there aren't any death traps. Not a lot of convayers like in Reclimation(there are two, but they don't mess with gameplay). The maps are focused more on gameplay then looks, although I tried to make them look nice they won't slow to a crawl if you have a p90(at least I hope not).

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
