  2. 2708 Ellsworth Street, Berkeley CA

Well, this is the house I've been living in for the past year or so, replete with secret passages and stuff that isn't honestly there (with the notable exception of the dead bodies in the basement, which we have to assume are there since that door is locked from the inside). Each room has many exits, and there is a good mix of small rooms and wide-open spaces. Try it with -warp 01 -respawn for variety; just enough shotgun dudes to keep it interesting.

  3. 30.WAD

My original goal was to try to draw out a level all in 1 sitting, then do all the sectors at once, ect. It turned out to have a kind of great uniformity to it...as you can see, unlike most of my earlier work the level kind of looks like a circle instead of a straight line...it's spread out. Look for the few glitches in the walls, as if you walk through them during deathmatch, it's a great place to hide. It looks really cool to see the other player leap out of the wall, BFG in hand...

    N O T E S:

--Yes, there IS a plasma gun on this level, look carefully!!

    --Please upload this .WAD everywhere!!!!

--Watch out for the upcoming ABRHS.WAD...

--If you like it, write me and it would be cool...

--And remember, I AM THE ETERNAL WAD MASTER!!!

  4. 4-Corners, Labrynth, Fragathon, Volcano

Description of Level 1 : A square layout, with high corners and 4 side rooms. You will love this level if you like specters and invulnerability. When playing deathmatch, watch out for players who like to stakeout.

    Its appearance ranks a 6.

Try starting with just the pistol and see how far you can get. On Ultraviolence, it ranks a 4 for hardness.

A fun level for 1-player or co-op, lots of fun for deathmatch.

Description of Level 2 : A 3-tiered level with many criss-crossing hallways. Plenty of running and everyone keeps falling into the center room. Can you get the Megasphere?

    Its appearance ranks a 7.

Try starting with just the pistol and see how far you can get. On Ultraviolence, it ranks a 5 for hardness. I can do it with 3 100%'s and 200%-200% health and armor in about 15 minutes.

A fun level for 1-player or co-op, lots of fun for deathmatch.

Description of Level 3 : A long walkway with weapons on ledges at the ends. Once you walk off the ledge, you can't go back or hide. A simple level with the most effective, frag filled deathmatch action I've ever seen. It's easy to rack up 400 frags in an hour. And expect lots of negative frags - once you fall off the walkway, you're a gonner - but don't worry, everyone's falling off. This level is guaranteed to teach you how to use and dodge the BFG.

Its appearance ranks a 3, but it's one of the best deathmatch levels I've ever played.

Unfortunately, this level is not a playable one player level - you just get to look, and then hit the end switch.

An interesting level for co-op, one of the best deathmatch levels of all time!!!

Description of Level 4 : A small square room with lava in the center. You get to use the Chaingun and BFG, which do you think is better? You'll be surprised!

    Its appearance ranks a 5.

This is a playable 1-player level, but it's very short and simple. Can you find the exit?

A short level for 1-player or co-op, lots of fun for deathmatch.

  5. A Small Deathmatch Level

This level is designed only for deathmatch, and primarily for two people. I made it small and simple so that it would be fast via modem play. This level is way too small for four player deathmatch, but if you want total mayhem, go ahead and try it. It's a fun level for two people, and it is FAIR; something which many deathmatch levels lack. The only way to win in this level is by skill alone, not by knowing where secrets or powerups are (as it is with most deathmatch levels). There are no secrets in this level, BTW. If you like the super shotgun, then play this level on skill 1-2. If you are a veteran Doom player like me, then put it on skill 3-4. This changes the super shotguns to regular shotguns (The super shotgun is MUCH too powerful for deathmatch, IMHO). I recommend playing this level with Deathmatch 2.0.

  7. CASTLE.WAD

.A deathmatch only map which looks pretty cool. An open castle with four towers and a medium sized courtyard. Also several separate areas off of the main courtyard. Good sniping. Some tough puzzles in order to get all of the power ups. All weapons are available. Some of the pillars in the courtyard are lifts activated by remote switches, some are imobile. The NW and SE towers can only be accessed by teleporting in or by rematerializing there after you've been fragged. The teleport puzzle is a little tricky to figure out, its almost impossible to utilize with four players. I hope you all like it. It's my best effort yet, I believe.

  8. Cold Sweat

Insanely fast and furious DEATHMATCH for DOOM II. A large symmetrical room is the setting, with 4 teleports leading to 4 symmetrical antechambers. It is VERY hard to get a bearing on where you actually are... which is exactly the point. If you want to rest use the antechambers, but make sure you are not followed... Good Luck and watch your back.

A new DeathMatch arena based around one central area. Every player starts off in an isolated place. Many secrets and traps exist throughout the level. Teleporters in that central area take the players about the level looking for powerups, weapons, and yes quality fragging! *Enjoy*

  12. DeathMatch of the Ages

This is just a small map that is mainly for a multiplayer DeathMatch game. Works pretty damn well if the weapons do NOT stay and the weapons DROP after death since that would provide more of a screw job for one yet a +1 frag for another. I find it quite fast paced and pleasant. ~Enjoy

  15. DeathWorld II: Fragland

Another highly addictive deathmatch level :>

DeathWorld II! Created in honor of the new four-way network we are now enjoying at Casa Rico Suave. Fantasy-land theme: ledges, pools, waterfalls, dank tunnels, quake-style teleports. Good mix of wide-open spaces and tight squeezes. Many escape routes.

Single-barrel at (almost) all starts. Access to better weapons always with its penalties...

Watch your back... I didn't call it FRAGland for nothin'!

  16. DM_ZIGS and DM_KHAN

DM_ZIGS: BOOM BOOM.....OUT GO THE LIGHTS! Notin special here. Just kill anything that moves. Enjoy!

DM_KHAN (DM_KHAN2 is the updated version of DM_KHAN1): DM_KHAN2 adds a few things dm_khan1 was missing. Namely an exit, and non-deathmatch starts for viewing offline. DM_KHAN2 is a "for deathmatch only" wad. There was no support added for coop play (i.e. no monsters). I tried to incorporate some new ideas /features without ruining the fun of simplicity. I appreciate any comments, complaints, or suggestions you might have for future wads.

  23. Kart Krazy

This is a recreation (sounds, graphics and actual level) of the Super Mario Kart Battle Mode Courses (mainly for Deathmatch, but can be played solo, and is a hell of a lot of fun in Co-op). It represents all four battle mode zones (Well known to many SNES owners), interlocked by four large doors. While you can open the first door right away, you'll have to find the key in the next level to get the next door open, then again, and again, until there is an open way between all levels (In DM, you start with all keys, so you're free to begin with). There are various triggers put in to make it more like the game (ice, etc.) but also some are put in just to make DM more interesting. It may take a little bit to figure them all out, and some require two peopel to see the direct effects. Happy Deathmatching! (I mean, uh battle moding!)

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
