  3. GibCity

This Wad is large, well-made, very tuff, requires some thought to succeed but definitely isn't a 'puzzle box'!! Mostly, you gotta' figure out how you're gonna' kill stuff before it kills you. Lots of times you'll be forced to charge rather than flee. There are plenty of traps so you're gonna' have to think about that some too,
This wad has been tested for playability with a goal of making it a stern test for the best players. You will feel like you've really accomplished something if you beat it fair and square.
The wad features new sounds for weapons and some of the beasties. If you get as far as the first cyberdemon, he has a new, friendly greeting for you.
There are FOUR cyberdemons (sorry) one big spider, and lots of archviles... as well as the usual baddies...As always with tuff wads, SAVE whenever some- thing good happens or you'll be an old guy before you finish up. Also, be cool with the ammo or you may find yourself with only bullets and a chainsaw to kill the TWO cyberdemons in the final arena! Try to save your plasma until you really need it, like whenever you find a Cyberdemon. A SUGGESTION: Don't go to the 'slime room' until you've finished the 'yellow key' section. Good luck...
I welcome your feedback..wads can always get better...If you played "Bruiser" or it's twin "Bruised" and beat it, you may be ready for the 'turbo' version of that wad...It's lots tougher, with numerous monster and ammo 'upgrades', and very do-able for good players. E-mail me and I'll send it to you.

  4. The Genocide Center

I call this the Genocide Center because there's tons of victims just hangin' around (ba dum tiss). Also, a few impaled zombiemen are in here, but don't worry, they don't bite. Note: This is not a reference to WWII genocide. Just genocide in general.

  11. Hell Junior High- Where the meals are free if you're a cannibal(which reminds me, I forgot to put in

(Skip this) ==============HELL JHS============= This is the most violent school you'll ever see! Includes a gun store across the street. ==============Story================ Single player:You were walking to school one day, when suddenly your friends start dissapearing around you! You look at your hands to see them fading away. When you arrive at school, your whole body has been transported to another dimension. One of your friends lies dead in front of you. You pick up a pistol he must have found and notice the guys who killed him. Better pick up the shotgun he dropped fast... Multiplayer Co-op:Looking behind you,you see some of your friends are still alive, and they found pistols, too. Multiplayer Deathmatch:After discovering you were in (with -nomonsters) Hell, you decided to kill everything you saw. Strangly, everyone was calling you "the new kid." But you and your buddies have overtaken this hellish school now, and the teachers and students of Hell J.H.S. are all dead. You were about to leave when you realized the truth: You're dead, and you can't leave. Since you're all already dead you see no harm in killing each other to pass the time. =========================== ===DON'T SKIP THIS!!!!!!=== =========================== Here's a list of what certain things represent.

    Trooper: Just an average student

Sargeant: An above average student Chaingun Sargeant: Owns the gun store Imp: A guidance counsler Lost Souls: Cheerleaders SS Nazi: Security guards Demon: A "nice" teacher Spectre: A hall monitor

Baron of Hell: One of the principals

    Cacodemon: A very mean teacher

Cyberdemon:The Head Principal Spiderdemon: The Principal's Pet Spider Arachnotron: The Principal's Spider's Child Mancubus: A rather fat teacher Hell Knight: Another very mean teacher Revenant: Yet another very mean teacher Archvile: The Nurse Pain Elemental: Leader of the Cheerleading Squad

Blue Doors: Storage rooms Yellow Doors: Lockers Red Door: The Principal's Office By the way, some students and cheerleaders got locked in their lockers as punishment. One of the lockers holds a forbidden device which, if you see it, will cause the authorities to come looking for you. If you shoot it, all doors open. NOTE: The "authorities" are a large group of hell-spawn with infinite reserves. The "-nomonsters" option has no effect on them. This can easily ruin a deathmatch or co-op. Don't open the weird-looking locker!!!

  12. silent night, holy fright

This is a large sized wad which follows a progression such that you pick up weapons in order but only after beating certain enemies. The level has 14 secrets, and includes a baseball field and a maze in a forest. I feel the actual par time is about 40 minutes.

  15. Get Psyched

A hard, castle type level, but NOT insanely hard, it can be beaten in UV without findig the secrets, (but you probably be tight of ammo the first time) I made this in the spirit of the original Doom levels (that means no jumping/crouching are needed), so it doesn't use any port-specific features. It also seems to be a nice deathmatch level (only been tested with SKulltag bots).

  24. Half Measures

A pretty harrowing affair. Be sure not to waste your ammo -- there's barely enough to go around. And if you see an Archvile coming for you when you're not ready, go ahead and flee. There may be some unexpected aid whence you came.

  25. Grime

This was designed to be a difficult map. I got my inspiration for this map from maps 23-25 of Scythe2, the last episode of Scythe, The last 4 maps of AV, map14 from CC1, map32 from CC2, and map25 from CC3. I know it's a long list, but all influenced at least some aspect of the map.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
