  1. Decent Into Darkness

I think this is a fun level for those who like lots of intense monster battles and tough secrets. This level's name is based on the ending of the level.

  2. The Demon Factory

1 fairly large level. Contains many ZDoom

  3. The Secret Energy

Boom compatible (cl9) single level for Doom 2. A large tech-base settled in big canyon areas. There are some secret areas to discover. This map is designed to be rather difficult on UV (like my previous map Blackroom.wad). For this reason I suggest to start on HMP.

  4. Freaky Panties

Freaky Panties is an experimental level that adjusts itself to how well you play. If you're playing well, it will get a bit harder. If you start to die too often, it will scale back the difficulty automatically. Essentially I tried to make the map adjust itself without ever having to set a monster or item to only appear on certain difficulty settings.

Much of the difficulty adjustment deals with how much damage you take, also known as your damage factor. The default damage factor is 1.0, but if you start to die too often, it will drop quite a bit, depending on your health.

Occasionally the level will try to gently increase the difficulty back up.

You might find yourself dying quite a bit at first. This is normal - the level is adjusting itself to you. Use of regular quicksaves/quickloads is encourages and will NOT break the level. Use of the resurrect console command will also not break it.

A decent E1 replacement. The maps are mostly non-linear and they feel good to play, although there's a few odd design choices that lead to dead-ends in couple places. The maps are too easy, mostly thanks to an overabundance of items, but they're still fun enough to navigate, thanks to a good handle on basic architecture. The standout is easily map 5.

Neat little map. The custom textures are impressive for their time. The map doesn't flow too well and the encounters aren't anything special, but it's a cool piece of Doom history.   The whole concept of modeling a school is obviously taboo nowadays, but it's still worth a try.

A huge improvement over the first part. The maps are fun, filled with interesting encounters and a diverse enemy variety. The architecture is simple but efficient. I particularly like how a couple of the maps make you circle around back to the starting area. The music is fun and cheesy, although a couple tracks failed to loop on my end. Overall, the difficulty is balanced, except for map 2, which stands out thanks to a very nasty trap.

I'm sad to say that I didn't have a good time with this. The maps are uninspired and confusing, while the enemy placement feels random. There's very little sense of progression through the maps. I can't knock it down too much due to its age, but by my modern standards, I wouldn't recommend it.

That was awesome! Feels like a cut level. My only complaint would be the difficulty being a bit too far on the easy side with the open areas, especially in the cyber demon's RGB gamer basement (I played on U.V). Everything else about the map felt like a lot of love was put into it, the way the UAC building and its cargo area was laid out felt like a real place that still works from a gameplay perspective (for the most part i.e, very open sectors). The cargo crate fight in particular really stood out to me as a "whoa!" moment. The basement area next to the travelators was really cool, it was like stumbling upon another threat after going through most of my resources for the cyber demon and feeling worried but excited at the same time. Having to focus up to dash through and grab ammo before I could clear them out was really memorable. I admit I did noclip to the exit after the rock collapse, because I wasn't sure what I missed. All-in-all, awesome map, glad I played it :)
