  4. A Generic UAC Base

It's a generic UAC base. It has some small office rooms, a dining hall, some bathrooms, a kitchen, a storage room, and a parking garage. This map shouldn't be too hard for a seasoned Doomer. Take it slow and let the monsters kill each other (this mostly applies to the Dining Hall area.) This is the first map I've made in almost 4 years. My DM map was the last map I made.

You find yourself enclosed in the reception towers of a Hellspawn encampment. Of what it's protecting (or hiding) is not readily known. Somehow you got the short end of the stick in this mission and you just want to get in, clean house and get out.

  6. Assault on Castle Wolfenstein

For more Doom 2 levels and other horror-themed entertainment products visit http://www.innerdemonentertainment.com/
Based on the id classic, “Wolfenstein 3D.” Stein.wad takes place during the 1940’s in an alternate reality in which clandestine research efforts and appeals to ancient, evil deities are about to give Germany an overwhelming advantage in World War II. This series includes period-accurate imagery and design elements relating to the setting and theme. Anyone who may be offended by the theme or images used in the series should refrain from playing it. The story is as follows…
In May, 1943, British intelligence received credible information regarding a German research facility at a remote castle named “Wolfenstein.” Not much is known about the nature of the research done there, but rumors abound. Some think powerful new weapons are being developed there. Others think that doctors use the fortress to conduct experiments on human subjects – using surgeries, drugs, or both – to engineer the perfect soldier: larger, stronger warriors who can go days or even weeks without sleep.
Little is known of the Commandant of Wolfenstein’s forces. He is said to hold frequent staff meetings. The meeting times, locations, topics, and members are all kept secret from those not attending. Even the lower officers consider the Commandant rather mysterious, if not a bit eerie. He is never seen in person by anyone other than his closest advisors, who relay his orders. Due to the isolated environment and the secretive nature of the facility, it seems possible that the Commandant may be distancing himself from the central command in Berlin and becoming something of a cult figure within the castle. As the top covert operative and intelligence agent in the United States, the Allies have asked you to infiltrate the castle, determine the nature of the facility there, and report back to our operatives in Europe for extraction. You are cleared to use your firearm at your discretion. Remember, this operation will turn the tide of the war.
Fans of the AD&D classic, Eye of the Beholder 2 (PC), may recognize a part of the third map.

This wad, called "The Hub" is the also the third level of the "Descent Into Hell" megawad project I'm working on. The merged wad (level 3) will have slightly different mixture of of weapons, etc... because the player has weapons and ammo and health already. I decided, however, to release it as a wad on its own as well.

  12. C'mon bro, I got tigerblood!

I wanted to create a level that kept changing layout as the player progresses. This means a lot of lowering walls and floors... and perhaps some bloody surprises too! It is a medium sized level with a moderate amount of monsters. There should be plenty of ammo and health. The ambitions for this level from my part was merely to create a no-bullshit map that is fun to play.

Merry christmas everyone! Here's a present from Agent Spork!

Denial is a single map for Doom 2 which uses many of zdoom's special features to its advantage. This map is fairly cramped, so if you have claustrophobia, you're not going to like this map. But, if you could care less, this map should be a blast. I spent a couple weeks on this. Hopefully it plays as good as it looks.

  19. DOOM: Threshold Of Pain

Threshold of Pain is a ZDoom episode which attempts to recreate the look and feel of Midway's famous PSX conversion of Doom whilst maintaining the core elements of the PC versions and a level of difficulty PC players would expect.

PSX Doom fans will know that ToP gets its name from the final level of PSX Ultimate Doom. Like many others, my first proper Doom experience was on the Playstation, so when fenderc01 released the PSX TC last year I was excited to get to play these levels again, only this time with PC controls! Whilst he did an amazing job, I found it to be way too easy, even on UV setting. This was not fender's fault, merely a testament to the compromises Midway had to make in bringing such a game to a console.

ToP attempts to redress the balance whilst maintaining the brooding atmosphere that Midway brought to the game. It is NOT a PSX TC - many features which were missing from the Playstation remain, so expect to encounter the Archvile!

This is my first real attempt at a releasable WAD, so I wasn't too concerned with highly detailed levels, more on decent gameplay, set pieces, and a few puzzles. That said, I have tried to make them look halfway-decent, despite the coloured lights :P

    New features include:

Tons of coloured lighting, but nothing too garish.

The infamous PSX burning sky, given a ZDoom makeover.

    PSX/N64 audio.

New Weapons - the Minigun and the Unmaker.

    The PSX Final Doom SSG.

A new powerup - the Doomsphere.

New monsters - the nightmare class monsters from PSX Doom and Doom64, a handful from the Realm667 Bestiary and ZDCMP, plus a new final boss...

A few other PSX/N64-style gameplay tweaks.

ToP attempts to redress the balance whilst maintaining the brooding atmosphere that Midway brought to the game. It is NOT a PSX TC - many features which were missing from the Playstation remain, so expect to encounter the Archvile!

In light of the soon-to-be-released Threshold II, this "Special Edition" features graphical enhancements only made possible by recent advances in the GZDoom engine that Threshold II uses, all with the goal of giving the game a more accurate PSX look and feel, and also to aid consistency between the two mods. Also features a swathe of bugfixes that never made the cut the first time around!

    New features include:

Tons of coloured lighting, but nothing too garish.

  21. Doomed Space Wars

Doomed Space Wars is a Star Wars-inspired mapset but with mostly Doom enemies and weapons. There are 9 levels divided into 3x 3 level mini episodes and 3 secret levels. At the end of each 3 level mini episode there is a boss. Every map is huge and takes advantages of Zdoom's special features such as 3D floors and reverb. Also there are tons of secrets and a few top secret Easter eggs. The aim for the level design was realism and a dark atmosphere, with huge height variations and a semi linear overlapping progression. I focused hard on lighting and architecture to create a super realistic environment to go with challenging gameplay but there are no slaughtermaps, sorry guys. Also included are 10 exclusive Deathmatch levels.

Also in addition are 9 new monsters thanks to Zdoom's DECORATE feature and also I cannot forget the totally original orchestral soundtrack composed by me with the songs in .mp3 format.

An remake of the original map completely made from scratch in about three weeks time. I tried to let my map look as close as possible to the original, and with an good result. I never thought I could't pull this off, but I managed to get it done. Added alot more detail to it, and some extra secrets an monster traps. If you like old school looking doom maps, than give this map a shot it deserves it.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
