  1. Strife: Absolute Anarchy Deathmatch

This is a slightly modified beta 1 release from 19/05/14. Current beta contains 13 dm maps and 2 ctf maps.

Strife: Absolute Anarchy is an attempt to create a smooth, streamlined multiplayer deathmatch experience for Strife.

Contained within this wad are 13 deathmatch levels and 2 CTF levels by various authors.

Due to lack of interest/playerbase I have decided to halt production of this wad, and release this beta as the final product.

    To play, use the map console command to warp to the following levels;

The maps: by: SDM01: Revolt Captain Toenail SDM02: Sacrifice Captain Toenail SDM03: Hydro Plant TheShooter7 SDM04: Hydro Processing unknown SDM05: Arena of the Entity Captain Toenail SDM06: Western Tarnhill Gardevoir SDM07: Courtyard Captain Toenail SDM08: Back Alley Ru5tK1ng SDM09: Desolate Domicile Zergeant SDM10: Temple Captain Toenail SDM11: Alienator Zergeant SDM12: Hen House Captain Toenail SDM13: Um Bongo Captain Toenail

  2. A World in Strife: Raiding the Dam

A large single player level for Strife. Features an mp3 soundtrack written specifically for it (a high quality download of which can be found on the DW forums post http://www.doomworld.com/vb/wads-mods/48920-a-world-in-strife-raiding-the-dam/). No real story or npc interaction other than some vendors, just a new part of the strife world to explore.

  3. Day of the Acolyte

You wondered though the wilderness, searching for food until you were spotted by an acolyte. The remains of the Order lurks within a small complex, planning their war with Blackbird and the rebels. Suspected as a spy, you remain in their detention center. A group of acolytes and a officer inter your cell, preparing for your torture. You will not give up without a fight.... This is a single map wad for Strife map02. Its pretty long too with lots of places to explore. In this map you will need to rely on shops and stealth in order to beat this map.

  5. Strife: Absolute Order

You wanted it, now you've got it, a 6 map hub for Strife. Requires a Zdoom compatible source port.

A rough story? Well ok. Despite the main threat of the order being defeated, there are many other towns still under their fragmented rule. The front now has the resources to send agents to these outward places and attempt to destroy what's left of the tyranny. You have arrived in the small town of Sweetwater, where what few people survive live a near meaningless life that is under constant threat.

  6. The Silenced Lamasery

The first Strife pwad available on the internet as far as I know. This is a good size deathmatch level that should be suitable for anywhere from 2 to 8 players.

Two player performance tested with a 700mhz comp connected to a 120mhz comp with a 19200 serial connection and it ran good. I tried to keep the detail at reasonably medium level, not too high or too low.

Multiplayer varies substantially in Strife opposed to Doom. I suggest reading the additional gameplay notes further down in this text file and also Strife's multi.txt.

I recommend patching Strife up to v1.31.

  7. Island of Peril

A old short mapset made for a contest hold on zdoom forums 2 years ago of creating a project under the 64 kb file size limit.

Many things are been done for that contest, including this little thing by myself and many other awesome stuff by other people, but the author of the contest due to other things on real life if i remember it good.

Here's the original thread if you're interested:

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.

Conceptually not bad, it's a pretty imposing tower with some decent lighting, but no ammo at all despite having the guns and a VERY obscure way to rise up the floor in the lava pit? That's a big downer. But overall, it's ok.

Well, the map is pretty basic. The map is quite challenging, with there being 0 ammo pickups (excluding the backpack) outside of the starting room. There are also nazis for some reason. I will give it 2 stars only because this really wasn't meant to be played to be enjoyed, but rather just a example of how to build a map in DEU.
