  1. Gravis Ultrasound patches

This is the standard set of patch files that were originally distributed with the Gravis Ultrasound (GUS) driver. If you want to play a modern source port and have it sound like a GUS, you'll find these helpful.

The GUS patches have long been distributed under this filename. Timidity supports GUS patch (.PAT) files, so I've generated several Timidity configuration files that can be used with these patches. More information is below.

  2. Runnin_D

D_RUNNIN is only a file name. RUNNIN_D is much, much worse.

If you don't want to stop running from evil, then this is for you. Load any of the old IWADs, and every little bit of music will be replaced with the best melody from beyond the grave. This goes for PWADs that use original music file names as well, id est, the vast majority. But the atonal assault doesn't stop there... No! A .mp3 version and a brief .wav sound effect is also included for your suffering. You can use them to enhance your OS, your telephone or your collection of music. The choice is yours.

  6. Plutonia MIDI Pack

One thing that separates the two halves of Final Doom is that TeamTNT composed many original tracks for Evilution, and I think that this added greatly to its originality and charm, even if some of the MIDIs were really short and/or just not that great. So, what if Dario and Milo Casali were musicians themselves, or what if they had other musicians - perhaps even TNT's music team, or even Bobby Prince himself - on board with the project to provide an original soundtrack to the maps of the Plutonia Experiment?

This project is the Doomworld community's answer to that.

  8. PSX Music wad

This is a wad that replaces the music in Doom1 with the music from PSX Doom. To prevent the file size from becoming huge i had to decrease the quality of the music. The ingame music still sounds ok but the music during the stats screen is somewhat hurt by the decreased quality. These are NOT midi files.

  10. Revolution! MIDI Pack

Here's another MIDI Pack project! Because I haven't done one in ages. This time around we're composing a megawad's worth of original music for Revolution!, aka TVR!.

If you are not familiar with the megawad, I highly recommend it. It features highly creative map design from the brilliant Thomas van der Velden, whom you might be familiar with if you enjoyed Plutonia 2 or Harmony.

This project was fortunate enough to have the blessing of Thomas, who went to the trouble of creating graphical artwork for us and an ENTIRE NEW MAP for the MAP33 slot! Whoa!

  18. Classic Doom Music

I just made this wad/pk3 to replace the boring old music in Ultimate doom. However, this only works for episode 1. You can find the whole soundtrack at this link..

    http://doom3.filefront.com/file/Classic_DOOM_3_Original_Mod_Soundtrack;52796

You can also get the awsome Doom 3 Classic Doom Mod, from this link:

    http://www.fileplanet.com/149666/140000/fileinfo/DOOM-3---Classic-Doom-3-v1.1-FINAL

I have contacted Sonic, and he said, "I would recommend you don't use the mp3's from the soundtrack I have on d3files.com.

What you should do is download the Classic Doom 3 mod, then open the pk4 and find the ogg's in there. Please use those because I have the looping set up for those. The mp3's aren't set to loop correctly, and people might wonder why Sonic Clang is an idiot for not making them loop friendly."

So with that said, that is what i did. I hope you enjoy it :p If i can find some good music for the other episodes, n doom2, i will make another one. Btw, the Intermission, n Starting screen music is from PSX doom. Witch can be found...

    http://files.filefront.com/psxd+betapk3/;10733492;/fileinfo.html

REMEMBER: In order for this to work, you MUST be playign with the Doom.wad, and ClassicDoomMusic.wad MUST be in your /Skins folder.

  19. Doom NES Music

All the original Doom tunes remixed into NES- style chiptunes via Impulse Tracker (IT) format. If you don't know what a chiptune is, basically it emulates the sound of the NES, Commodore 64, etc. music engines in the form of tracker-based music (MOD, XM, S3M, IT, etc). In this case, the songs resemble what you might have heard if Doom was ported to the NES. It should be noted that these songs were converted BY HAND, without the aid of a MID->IT converter of any sort.

  22. Hell's Ambiance

Hell's Ambiance is a compilation of unnerving ambient tracks to give Doom that extra spooky atmosphere if you are tired of the PSX Doom or Doom 64 track set.

It features 18 tracks from Kevin MacLeod's royalty free set while the rest is supplemented by Jaxxoon R's Dark Ambient Pack (also on /idgames/) to give maximum tension.

This set replaces primarily Doom 2 but advanced ZDoom based ports can utilize the $musicalias so it replaces Doom tracks as well.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
