  1. Abyss

This pwad was written by Avery Lodato (alodato@ucdavis.edu) using deu5.0 and bsp1.0. It replaces E1M1. Designed for single player action, I would give it difficulty factor of around 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.

  2. BCDEATH5.WAD

My favorite level! The entire level looks like a house. It is complete with bedrooms, bathrooms, showers, toilets, sinks, a billiard room, a pool complete with patio furniture, a library, etc. It even has some secret closets and passages and of course a dungeon basement.

I have played this level many times in four player Deathmatch and it is continuously a blast. Hint look for secret stuff in the billiard room.

Good luck. They are all challenging.

I welcome any feedback you might have.

  4. Castle of Fear

This was originally made for Doom the Way id Did as E3M8. I eventually removed this big chunk of the level and kept the part with the Spiderdemon. This is made in a strict Peterson style so expect lots of texture misalignments, unusual wall-floor combos, and all that stuff.

  5. Crazy.wad

Crazy.wad is the second wad I've created, the first being Freddoom.wad. It's not that big it's difficult and fun. I'm getting better at it. I think you'll see an improvement over the last one, however, It's not as good as some on the market. Please send me some E-mail and let me know what you think.

  7. CRESCENT.WAD

The idea for the layout is borrowed from STARWAR1.WAD by Matt Falk. In no way is this wad connected to any of the tremendous wads in the starwars series by Matt Falk. If his next ones are as good as STARWAR1, then I will have to buy some more floppy disks to store them. The name of the wad is obtained from the shape of the map. The story: As humanity reaches out into the unexplored regions of space they may encounter some less- than-friendly races. One such incidence occurred a few years ago on Pluto. The base, a sector of the Specialized Planetary Defence (SPD) ring was overrun by some nasty semi-humanoids with a bad attitude. An unsuspecting marine on an inspection tour landed and was suprised to find the base crawling with "things" he had never seen before. He had had bad receptions before, but not like this one...

You need a medikit... bad. You know its location, but can you get to it without gittin' ambushed? This wad was designed for 2 or 3 player deathmatch. Lots of ways to sneak up on your opponent.... :-).

  10. Control Center

Control Center is a map I made some weeks ago, based on the 90's mapping style. Some areas might even remind you of some places in the original Ultimate Doom episodes. The theme of the map is a base, very similar to the ones in the first episode of Ultimate Doom, Knee-Deep In The Dead.

  16. Blood, Sweat, & more Blood

Single player WAD, not set for deathmatch. Not great for co-op either. Made as slugfest. Save your ammo. There are some dark areas which house monsters, which may or may not be your cup of tea. Also, when I say slugfest, I don't mean one big square room with 1,000 mosters in it. That means that there are no huge puzzles to figure out, your path is pretty much laid out for you, and your ammo may get low. E1M2 is sort of an exception, it has a small teleporter puzzle, but just run through different teleporters, you get it eventually. It's not too difficult. Another thing, I am not personally big on secrets, and niether are my WADs. They will be fairly obvious to someone that is paying attention. The secrets are not neccessary to finish the level. PS, when you see a save game sign....

  18. The Dungeon of Aoxozoxoa

This WAD is based on an AD&D campaign that serveral of my friends and I played for about three years. Aoxozoxoa was one of two wizards who escaped from a high security wizard's prison in the Crimson Empire. A party of experienced adventurers was hired to track these wizards down and either re-capture them or eliminate their threat before they could align with other dark powers. This WAD is a reconstruction of the original dungeon where our party slayed the Archmage.

  19. Satan's Hell Hole

This is my third and what I think is my best Wad. Plenty of graphics changes as well as a nice layout for all modes. Single or Multi Player.

The other Wads I've done were made with only single players in mind. I've taken the time to add all the things I like in a good Deathmatch Wad as well as keeping it interesting for single players. You'll find lots of windows, hiding places, and fair deathmatch starts. I recommend Deathmatch with no monsters. When I first tested it in Deathmatch mode I feared the size(Huge) would make Deathmatch frustrating but it worked out fine. We averaged about a Frag every 1.5 mins to 2 mins which isn't bad

There is an aggrevating transporter puzzle which will frustrate many. If you use your mind(it's a terrible thing to waste) it can be easily solved. Or just keep transporting until you see the transporter with the Blue Armor.

I finished the Level with no problems in about 21 mins. Of course it's not going to be nearly that easy for you because I made it. Use the save early and often.

Well enjoy the Wad and send comments so I can make better Wads in the future.

  23. Chess, Hades-style

Your pal Satan invited you and fifteen of your closest friends over for a friendly game of chess. Not trusting him one bit, you took along quite an arsenal. As you arrive at Satan's door, you are whisked away to a huge arena. Alas, as your compadres see the terrors before them, most (or all, depending on how many players you're using) die of fear. Some even implode. Now it's up to you to checkmate Satan.

  24. A Nukage River Runs Through It

Ahhhh... Earth. After that last mission, you deserve a little time off by golly. So you cringe when the vidphone sounds. But... but...my vacation... you try to explain. They promise that you'll have your vacation after you check out the reports of "something strange" going on at the nuclear power plant... probably just a glitch...most likely a routine communication breakdown. Yeah that's it. Better take your rod... you've heard that there's some good fishing in the river that runs through it. Boy were you wrong!!!

  25. Chainsaws-a-go-go.

Its the annual buzzsaw festival, need I say more. A great way to relieve stress. Can be used as single player with monsters or as a deathmatch. For best results either ban the use of the pistol or use a hack to give the players no bullets. This wad probably works better in deathmatch2. Happy hacking, slashing, cutting, chopping.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?
