  1. MUDWADS - The Infiltrator (v. 1.1, v. 1.2, v. 1.3)

I've tried real hard to create a smooth and interesting environment for the ultimate struggle. Hard but possible to do with a little effort and a BFG!

  3. MAKMYDAY.WAD

This is really good stuff for all those, who love playing DOOM just because it's fun! I put in some nice things to get and its a full level with all keys. Since this is my first level, i'm expecting some bugs, although i'd only found one. So, if you discover another, don't bother, i will find it, too. Since you cannot reach me in any way, just look out for updates on your server. They are coming!!!

MAKMYDAY contains a lot of enemies, but there's always a chance to beat them. Look out for strange looking walls, they may be a secret door. Watch your back at the beginning! Perhaps you shouldn't take the chaingun in the startroom before you are sure not to forget something!!

  4. Entry.WAD

"You are shoved roughly through the door, and you don't even have time to watch it slam shut behind you as a nearby guard punches a hole in your leg with a well placed bullet. They said you were free to go, but you didn't know you'd have to run this little guantlet first before you make it to the exit. You have a battle to fight, freedom to gain and nothing to lose... but your life."

(this is my first wad, but it could be thought as a "shareware" version to my upcoming full episode replacement wad) Just wait... there are bigger and better wads coming soon!

  6. Marine Base E1M1

A Marine Base on a distant outpost, taken over by the Hordes of Hell.

Although saved as E1M1, it is probably a better replacement for E1M4 or E2M2. It includes an exit to the secret level, but it's tough to find. The regular exit takes a bit of fancy finger- work to get to as well!

Only contains Weapons 1-5, but adds a Plasma gun (and no extra cells) in Deathmatch mode.

I've tried to keep all textures etc. pretty consistent, except for a few special areas, and I think I've gotten rid of all HOM effects. 8-) The only construction problem that I can find is in the deep blue Demon room (you'll know it when you get there), that sometimes the screen gets stuck in 'Cyberspace' 8-( - any hints on how to fix this gratefully received. Other than that, all walls have been aligned unless they (a) hide secret doors, or (b) are meant to be that way (cf the spiral staircase)

This is probably a little easy as is, but I'm going to add more monsters for UV, and take away a few imps and sergeants for ITYTD

As this is my first level, I'd be really pleased to get some feedback, especially from Watcher (there's only one small maze 8-)) and Cameron Newham - you guys write the best damned reviews I've EVER read! - even if I don't always agree with you.

So, Play and Have Fun, but most of all, Do it to them, before they do it to you...

  7. Journey of No Hope

"Instead of being victorious over the rampaging armies of Hell, you find yourself once again wandering the wastelands, in search of a way out."

Designed as if the first level of an entire episode, I instead scrapped the idea of continuing this in favor of starting a new hub for HeXen. This level is short, with only about 172 sectors, but has very detailed architecture. There are no gameplay tricks, really, except for a pair of stairwells that you can use to your advantage.

The secret areas function like a secret-within-a-secret-within- a-secret-within-a-secret, which I would have designed differently had the player wielded the ability to use the goodies on the next new level afterwards, which does not exist.

  8. Supermarket

There isn't much of a story, but here goes. Your at the UAC supermaket, (Voted best market by 3 out of 4 space marines!) and people start coming in left and right. Then you remember there was a sale today. Once you were shoulder to shoulder with people, you went insane. you took your shopping cart and started killing everyone in sight. Inclosed is a batch file to put in the graphics and run dehacked. Included is Deusf, but not dehacked. (which you need!) Put market.deh into the directory that dehacked looks for patches, then run market.bat. Note that your game will not be harmed, even though I WILL NOT be held responsible for anything this patch does! The graphics will be restored when the game is done!

  9. Oxygen v0.9b

Being the contest-hungry soul that I am, I polished up this beta for a contest going on over at doomcenter.com for the best level that's done in the E1 style. I still have to do a little more testing with enemies and objects and all, but it should give you a couple minutes of fun if nothing else.

I'm trying to do a whole episode, so that would explain why a) this level is E1M2 and b) why it's so easy (is the original E1M2 all that hard either?).

  11. MAULHIGH.WAD

Take on hell spawn in a highschool setting you could only find in DOOM. The level is fully equiped with lockers (with strange contents), teachers (Ha! take THIS Mrs. Bolton! BOOM!), students (poor saps, put them out of their misery), a floating principal and a detention must worse than any that's ever been seen before! Then, in the final areas you must pass the tests to get out alive. By the way, remember to always flush!! and don't eat the food.

  12. manse11.wad

This was my first wad, designed six months ago. It is not a huge level; I intended it to be map 1 of a full episode, but I haven't had the free time to finish (what with DOOM2, Descent, RotT, Dark Forces, Heretic, and Magic Carpet :)). It is, IMHO, a very detailed and nice looking WAD, though. It's also pretty hard in UV mode (let alone in Nightmare).

Ok, this may be a 'bit' overwhelming, and the mechanics may not be that great, but we all have to start somewhere! This .wad file is just basically an arena that IS doable if you keep running. Enjoy it.

  14. MAYHEM.WAD

Needless to say, this is my first level. I think I did a pretty good job but if I were able to force myself to look at the DEU screen again and make another level it would be way better. The best thing about my level is that the secrets aren't all composed of hidden doors who's textures have been cleverly alligned. To get acess to my secret areas you'll have to use your brain, which most DOOMers enjoy. And at no point will you need to find a hidden door to complete the level. Any moron can go around a whole level pushed up against a wall pressing the spacebar rapidly. My level is also very straight forward. You won't have much choice to where you go, the level will direct you through itself. I have put in an area map early in the game because they are cool. Some areas though are hidden so it doesn't give the whole level away. This level is ment to be played on ultraviolent, save often or don't save at all, whichever you prefer. Try to get 100% items, secrets and kills, I've made two of those kills perticularly tricky (Use you brains not your guns).

  16. OUTLAND.WAD (IMPROVISE, ADAPT, OVERCOME)

Your squad is to beam down to the surface and investigate the sudden loss of communication lines between UAC and a remote command center on the moon Deimos, Enemy activity is suspected. Your squad will eliminate any enemy activity with extreme predjudice. Unfortunately, detailed surface maps are unavailble due to the sensitive nature of company operations.

  17. Hall of Marble 1.1

Mostly a single player or cooperative level, but can also make a good deathmatch. I have spent most of the time trying to make it look good rather than make it difficult to complete, but don't expect it to be to easy ;-).

Version 1.1 has a few changes in the design. Nothing major, just to make the things you find more in proportion to how much you have to work to get there.

  19. MANIC WAD FILE

This picture was created using 3d Studio V3. It used 27 procedural textures and took 28 weeks to render on a Pentium 100 PC with 640k. It has over 200000000 faces and 30000000000000 vertices. It was scaled down from 100000 by 2000000 pixels to 50 by 40 in 45 days by Paint Shop Pro V2 ....... Ooops sorry wrong file .... got a little bit carried away there. Anyway back to the right file ....

Dear Mrs Smith, The estimate for the work carried out on the downstairs bathroom is 24 million pounds and 2p + VAT and p&p. Sorry we couldn't do it cheaper but second hand solid gold baths from the Cleopatra era are hard to find.

Ooops - sorry again (gettin to be a bit of a habit this!?)

Where was I, oh yes. This Doom wad was created by me, only me and me alone and no one else (not even my dog Sparky helped).

By the way me is Andrew Harbour (not that I am a harbour thats my surname - talk about unfortunate named after a place with lots of big boats.)

The level itself is pretty large, to be quite honest I think it's huge! There's absolutely loads of monsters, if you like killing lots and also enjoy a bit of a puzzle element to levels then you should love this level.

Multi Player (coperative) playing is supported on this level but due to the large size it was decided deathmatch would be exceptionally boring and is therefore not implemented.

  20. Invasion

A horde of monsters has infested the moonbase... ... however - fight back ! There is only one difficulty level but I think it's not too hard to get through this one. Don't be afraid of running out of ammo - there are at least enough shotgun shells to blast the whole scum back into hell. A good time is about 30 minutes. 333 monsters wait for the hot lead of your shotgun. Kill `em all !!! Mail me, if you like this wad (or not).

Short TC with a lovely western setting. I wish it was longer, but it's great nonetheless.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Serenity series, but Infinity might be its best entry. The maps are mostly fun to navigate and they feature some decent design. I'm just not sure I like the way the fights are designed. It's not uncommon for rooms to be packed with enemies (mostly sergeants). I found myself blasting my shotgun through a doorway a bit too often for my tastes. Still, it features some nice MIDIs, so the experience is mostly fun.

Fava Beans is a great episode that's very reminiscent of E1's style. The maps, especially back half, are smartly laid out and feature lots of windows, which give the WAD a great look. It's on the easier side overall, as it doesn't use Cacos and Barons all that much, but it was still a blast to play through.

This is definitely one of my favorite 1994 release. The Evil Unleashed continues in the steps of TiC's previous WAD, Slaughter Until Death, and refines the experience even further. The maps are full of tight spaces with packs of enemies ready to be mowed down. The architecture is simple but effective, complemented by a handful of nasty crushers. Good stuff.
