Today the level feels pretty tacky, with tons of ZDoom effects thrown in willy-nilly. However the gameplay holds up even today, although the Arch-Vile at the end is pointless. Worth checking out for early ZDoom history.

A great early Zdoom level with a bit of a quake feel to it. A bit of a silly surprise near the end, but still worth playing.

It could have been a perfect map if you didn't make the silly cyberdemon pop up once you were outside.

This one is a bit monothematic, playing in a big machine hall. Only the finish offers some variation with a nice mountain trip. The challenge is over avarage, mainly due to the human monsters and the imps having been made harder. Other monsters are unchanged but placed in tricky places. Overall, this map is not as beautiful and convincing as its sequel, but that's pretty normal. A wad should become better with time, not worse... :-) 4/5 -Milian

This was was pretty much the ultimate bible for ZDoom editing up until around 2001 (see also Doom3057 for another example). Like many early ZDoom wads, it is a shameless homage to Quake II. While ZDoom editing has largely grown out of particle fountains, stealth imps, and oversaturated colored lighting thrown in for its own sake, it's good to remember where ZDoom originally came from. Solid ZDoom 1.22 nostalgia. 4/5 --Woolie.

I like the new textures but maybe not the fast imps or fast shotgun. Nice gameplay and could be tough from time to time except for the fact that you will have ammo coming out you ass. A cool little map and worth a shot. 5/16/07

Ah, here's a WAD that's aging quite well. While it doesn't offer the innovative build of Tei Tenga, it plays much better. The increased speed and toughness of imps, zombiemen, and shotgun dudes is a threat until you realize how quick that shotgun you have is. A couple of smartly designed battles and a nice, nonlinear layout boosts the quality of this wad a lot. Just fun to play. 4/5 -Snakes

EPIC journey through 11 completely different levels. Stunning visuals: from tiny details to grand architecture. These maps are challenging, but not impossible. Had to retreat to HMP on the two latest levels, though.   My favorite level is Felt (library). So many passage ways to explore.

it should be obvious to those who are playing this that this is NOT another Doom 64 TC. it's recreating the levels of Doom 64 as Doom II levels, which is why you see other monsters and a few changes to layout as well.   i'm not gonna give this a good score though. but this may be because I just don't like Doom 64's levels in general. even when you cut out the atmosphere and enhance the gameplay and layout of the maps here there's still some bashful puzzles to solve and well, the levels are longer than they really are. my Doom 64 opinion of course.

Overall is nice, but I'm not much into small maps crowded with monsters, other than that, looks like a decent megawad

Sorry, but can't give more stars to this megawad, it gets really tiresome to start like 6 times the same map with a different door each time and the and the innecesary overstuff of ammo and guns just kill the fun of Doom being about managing your resources.  It can be some kind of fun opening a terminal in GZDoom and setting SV_fastWeapons to 2
