About This File

This wad was made for Alex Adolphson, because me and him love to coop on doomserv. Coop was the main focus, but it is possible to beat in single player, and is sure to piss you off. The map size is quite large and detailed and there are 400+ enemies to blow away. Have fun!

I sometimes find it fun to check out someone's map, especially when it's unknown. And in this case, it's almost a personal map from a friend to a friend.

It's pretty well made and there's a ton of detail for 1999. If I got such a map from my friend, I would've shit myself from joy!

While the beginning is a bit cramped, as is true of many early maps, there is quite a bit of variability and then the map opens into large areas with gameplay very reminiscent of slaughter maps. I actually finished the map and I have to say that although I'm not Alex Adolphson, it was a nice way to start this Saturday :)

Starts with a very repetitive and uninspired "open a door and chaingun a few dozen monsters" routine of box rooms then leads to a large outdoor area with a hundred cacos, barons and arachnotrons and the obligatory Cybie for the even more routine in-fighting at which point I gave up and looked for a map that was actually fun to play.

looks very good, plays very dull. btw, there is nothing of special zdoom features (except titlepic), so it's playable in doom2+

Fantastic work, music and all and literally MY personal favorite wad of all time. Forget all the Jurkoffs at the bottom with the negative reviews they have no real taste in wads honestly speaking. Play this wad from start to finish you will have no regrets. 5 Stars.

This is probably the most perfectly ammo balanced map ever on HMP. Pretty damn good.

Yet another example of a relatively enjoyable map ruined by a pointless and incomprehensible teleport maze. There is only ever one real result with this type of garbage - user irritation often resulting in game quits and file deletion. Why do people do this? Do you assume your being "creative"? No, your being lazy and stupid. Future mappers - don't do this if you want people to leave nice comments.

Found this again thanks to Er\IWA, it's a overall good and fun deathmatch mapset made of speedmaps by various users from Zandronum forums, the mapset have it's high and lows and really shows them (looking with disappointment at MAP21) and lots of maps are inspired by the great classics (Greenwar, Memento Mori, even Eternal Doom -or is better say Eternal DM?) and with some weird fetish for pyramid structures in the main arena. Fun megawad overall.

Found this thanks to Er\IWA, incredible that this mapset is being so unknown that I've come in knowledge of this only by random picking! It's worth of staying with the classic like Greenwar or Exec, no joking! Sure there's some problems like multiple spawning points in one point, a weird weapons progression and all that 90s wackiness, but despite this is a fun, frenetic and very enjoyable ride with good map layouts and fun gameplay. Worth checking!
