About This File

Biowar is a doom2 megawad in the spirit of ICARUS and others. It consists of 18 regular levels and 1 secret level. The levels range from moderate to hard and are all very well done. Enjoy!

If you like any classic 90s megawad you're odds on to like this. Especially nice for being almost entirely one-man and I wish the author had done more.

A pretty well made set by some good authors. It doesn't rock your socks off, but it is lots of fun to play and looks decent also, with some decent enviroments. A recommended download. 4/5

short levels, and too easy to fly right through this one... rendering this one rather boring. 2/5 - Kemo

I find it cool how you customized the commander Keen enemy to make it sound like there were actually marines still out there fighting and dying.

Has one of the coolest Icons of Sin in any megawad. Some of the levels are short, but they play very well. A must play. ****

Pretty good wad file in my opinion. I liked the various sector movement setups (i.e. such as the up and down moving square sectors that appeared to be generators or something like turbines), and also the skill levels were set pretty good. I decided to play it on the easiest skill level just to see if it was one of those wads where the author BLASTS players with tons and tons of monsters (which I hate). This level was an exception.

18 solid maps. Not really "legendary" but worth 5/5 for a very enjoyable adventure.

While it may not be super detailed, it is super duper uber fun to play. Easily one of the best wads ever I have ever played. I enjoyed just about every second of this wad. The Icon of Sin at the end was the coolest I've ever seen. But, you know, if you're happy with the thousands of tech base maps out there, and you're not a fan of creativity, then stay away from this one. Five stars. Easily. Would give it six if I could. -Lord Mordecai

This is a pretty good old wad, with interesting layouts and solid gameplay. Does anyone know where the hudface came from? That character looks pretty cool. 5/5

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
