About This File

A level for Ultimate Doom + a port that will up the vis-plane limit and is compatible with boom. Main focus was on single player + co-op, but there is some very good DM support.

Story: Shortly after Deimos vanished, the hellspawn appeared on Mars and Earth. Blah Blah Blah, you are a private UAC marine stationed on Mars, and your buddies are gone. Grab your shotgun and take some of the uglies out!

Oh and you never can have enough computer screens eh?

A pretty okay techbase level, all things considered. It feels like a converted Deathmatch level from 1995 but with the detail of a typical early 2000s WAD. Things go from 0 to Cyberdemon really quickly, but there are really no thrills aside from that. The "Top 100 WADs list" entry mentioned needing more 2000 WADs to fill the list, which kind of explains why some of the choices for that year feel so...off. Oh well, at least it has one of the best Memento Mori II tracks in it. 2.5/5

here's another one of the one-level wads on the Top 100 wads of all time, a wad that is considerably short for its placement there. Only Crestfallen is shorter, in my opinion, but as short as Atomic Tomb is, it's one of those quick and dirty levels. It's got a very deathmatch-like layout going for it, but the game also puts in a good run in with the singleplayer combat, with the nonlinear touches you can run around and get weapons. might want to prepare ahead of time when you get to the northern end, that plasma gun will help against the cyber. it's an E1M1 combat-oriented map and does it well enough.

A fairly short and flat map with very good visuals. The gameplay feels a bit underwhelming (even with the Cyberdemon on UV) but the nonlinear layout works nicely.

Atomic Tomb is a fun E1M1 replacement I highly recommend anyone looking for a short level with nonstop action and multiple routes that you can take.

this wad flows far better then most, not being clogged up with an overabundance of doors and switches. 4.5/5

Too short to be legendary at all but a very solid playable map.

An entertaining map that only takes a few minutes to finish; there's one good ambush and a berzerk fight with some invisible demons. Are there any greater pleasures in life than Doom's berzerk fist? Dancing around the imps, playing with them, and then punching them into goo? I believe the berzerk fist is the best weapon in a computer game evah, better than Elite's mining lasers and the circle-laser from R-Type.

Awesome gameplay on a smallish map, reminds me of Scythe levels even though this came first.

Another solid map by Brad Spencer. I love the chaotic gameplay in this one, it might be short but it'll be 5-10 minutes very well spent with no filler. 5/5 - DeathevokatioN

Good, but not one of the 10 best 2000.

This excellent map has a few intense fights (one of which I beat without the invulnerability and plasma gun that was provided, because I entered from the wrong side), without being excessively difficult. The spectre scene where you must use the berserk pack caught me off guard, as I try to avoid melee range whenever possible. Could stand to be, as the text file says, "overloaded with slants and crap" some more, as it is rather sparse on details. Recommended. 4/5 --Woolie

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
