I really wish this was updated to current ZDoom code as ZDoom versions 1.22 and 1.23 Beta don't work on modern operating systems. Well, not on my Windows 7, at least. What I did get to play looked interesting enough though. Three stars at least because Kaiser is awesome.

It's a good conversion the Heretic/Hexen Hub, there's not a lot of detail and it's playable. However there's a bug in the hubs... :( Good Work anyway! -- 3/5 -- GodCells

I figured it out! I typed the word "hub" after clusterdef1 in the ZMAPINFO, and it worked.

Hideously broken. Despite it being a hub, it resets EVERYTIME as if you just arrived from map01. Also, broken polyobjects. Just broken altogether. It's a good thing Kaiser went on to to some great work.

Maybe you should consider that this wad is eight years old before you whine about things being "broken". A lot of things that worked in ZDoom eight years ago do not work now. Why don't you play this with 1.22 or an early 1.23 beta before whining about the fact that you can't play it in an incompatible version of ZDoom? As it is meant to be played, this is definitely 4/5 material. --Woolie

Apologies. I tried using ZDoom 1.22, and I got the same problems (barring the polyobject problems). I'm looking for a ZDoom 1.23 beta now. I'm just angry cause I spent some times trying all kinds of things to run this. It does seem fun, which is why I keep trying to play it. -ETPC

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
