About This File

A single level with very linear gameplay :-) Set on a moving train.

Short ZDoom map that was only a part of the author's TC known as Aspects, which never seems to have a full release even today. The map involves a moving train where you have a time limit to save yourself before you meet your fate on a fast moving train. Moving train aside, you'll see some other ZDoom features like swimming under "water" and a small cutscene much like other ZDoom TCs. Not exactly a fan of the map being very linear and having to walk on the sideways carefully, but it is a moving train after all. Other than that, it's a good time waster and it's nice to see some good ZDoom maps making use of the port's features.

I would have to say, this is the first time i've seen this type of thing done with zdoom. Very nice little level that pushes zdoom to the limit. 5/5 -r_rr

strafing outside of the train cargo cars and off the train is pretty annoying. Otherwise a sweet wad. I still give it five stars.

This should be included with ZDoom just to show what the engine's capable of. Most impressive indeed.

This was the first ZDoom wad I ever played. Impressive level design and the whole countdown thing was pretty cool. Even after playing all those other high-profile ZDoom mods, this wad still kicks ass.

Don't forget to catch your train :) It would be cool to see this in some mapset, coz in itself its too short. 4/5 -- Brun Ohn

All aboard! The action takes place on a train at full speed and with no engineer, heading for certain doom. An utterly brilliant piece of work, with an exciting James Bond-esque theme, moody surroundings, good (if not that hard) challenge and loads of fun! This is a perfect example of how some scripting can add a completely new dimension to DooM. The only downside is the length... This one leaves the player hungry for more. --5/5

Very good. The music stage is Jean Michel Jarre and is called Les Chants (Champs) Magnetiques part II.

Incredibly fast-paced adventure aboard a moving train! Innovative concept for Doom, with great use of what ZDoom has to offer.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
