This is an amazing piece of work. I got pissed trying to find the red key but thats just my own dumbness I guess. You got slopes and sectors that spinĀ and everything!

Nice but IMHO overhyped map. Layout is good, decoration and ambiance quite good, but overall gameplay @ UV was quite disappointing: way too easy, very repetitive, frequently boring, and never got me on my toes. Despite this, 4/5 because it's been made in 2001 and above average. BTW @ ^^: seriously, 'best mapper'? FYI: search f.e. for Roch, Unloved or Return from Oblivion; nofi, but those mappers are milestones ahead.

This is dated February 2001. It's a decent but plain source port level, with lots of Zdoom features used because the author could - slopes, sliding doors, ambient sounds, machines etc. Apart from that it's a solid 1996-era mountain techbase; there's a lot of it, it feels substantial, and the action doesn't stop. Clever "linear non-linear" layout for the first half. Not hard; you get loads of rockets and back-to-back soulspheres. End battle drags.

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.

Conceptually not bad, it's a pretty imposing tower with some decent lighting, but no ammo at all despite having the guns and a VERY obscure way to rise up the floor in the lava pit? That's a big downer. But overall, it's ok.

Well, the map is pretty basic. The map is quite challenging, with there being 0 ammo pickups (excluding the backpack) outside of the starting room. There are also nazis for some reason. I will give it 2 stars only because this really wasn't meant to be played to be enjoyed, but rather just a example of how to build a map in DEU.
