It's great for beginner mappers. This was the first map editor I used.

It was useful back in the day but Doom Builder renders it utterly and completely obsolete.

I didn't post it but you should use the above serial anyway because there's NO WAY to activate this program otherwise. You cannot contact the other or buy this program any more. The only way to use it is to warez it.

This is an OK starting editor, but it is very easy to inadvertantly create bugs, especially if you are inexperienced.

This one deserves a 5, though I cannot perfer this over Doom Builder though.

It's an excellent, underrated editor that's easy to use. Granted it's not as powerful as Doom Builder, its simplistic layout makes it ideal for beginners. I don't think many people give Wad Author the proper credit it deserves.

Was good in the day, but there are better editors nowadays.

Excellent editor, with a very intuitive interface. Very convenient to make a quick inspection of a map to see what triggers what. The error checking routines will also detect certain types of fatal errors that DB both allows and fails to detect.

Still a good editor, although I would recommend at least Slade because of the 3d editing and its ease of use.

^ Hardly. Doombuilder fails to detect and allows - encourages even - serious map errors of types that WadAuthor can pinpoint.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
