About This File

Hmmmm....first ever map thingy... kinda made this up as I went along. Still, some of it I'm quite impressed with. It's quite easy....er.... enjoy! :)

The back of the blue door is set to 1(open - wait - close), so the mancubus in the room can "hit" it, and the door will close after a while. If that happens and the door closes, you can't get back in to the exit room.

Remarkably poor beginnersmap. Has near zero architecture, ambiance and gameplay. Therefore I seriously wonder why the first reviewer calls this 'sweet' and ^ considers it 'Nothing particularly wrong', because both statements are obviously ridiculous. 0.5* for the effort. /nofi

Nothing particularly wrong with this map, just not enough substance.

This is the first of two levels the author designed. It's dull and unimpressive, a flat military base in the middle of a field. There are only a dozen or so rooms, and 18 monsters, mostly imps; you have a boss fight against a couple of barons, and later a mancubus, but you have a rocket launcher and loads of rockets. It would have seemed short and dull in 1995, and in 2001 it's way behind the curve.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
