About This File

This is basically a group of rooms and passages that were built to be part of my level 'Null Space'. The initial room (the courtyard with the blue key switch) and the final rooms (the pentagram teleport entry and exit) are included in Null Space, everything between them was removed because I felt this section of map was too linear and didn't really fit in with the style of map I was trying to create.

I have added some monsters and items to make this a playable single player level, but there are obvious dead ends, marked with 'no entry' signs on the walls, that lead to sections of the map that ARE included in Null Space.

Look on this as a preview of what to expect from Null space in terms of architecture and game play.

Nice looking and fun bite-size level. Ammo is sparse, so conserve and use evasive tactics and/or infighting.

Fun but too short. Like a null space canapes.

This is dated August 2001. It's a kind of DVD bonus feature for id=11435, which is legendary. Specifically it's part of the second section in the second half. Fascinating to see it, although I understand why the section was cut - it really only amounts to a couple of corridors with bends. I wonder what happened to the other files mentioned in the readme ("voidtest" and so on)?

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
