If you like Star Wars, you're going to like this wad. If you don't like Star Wars, you're going to like this wad. If you like wads, you're going to like this wad. If you like shit holes, you're going to really like this wad.

Bah, the levels feel kinda hollow and scraped together, and not all that impressive unless you have a hard-on for star wars.

Ok, I think you need to improve in the guns. Where's the laser when you shoot the blaster or hand gun? I really hated the blaster acting like a shotgun. Apart from that, it was a kick ass WAD and well made. I'm giving it 4.

Good fun, and actually made me want to dig out Dark Forces again and see if it works on a modern-day PC. Were there ever any Dark Forces level editors? If so, it would be amusing to see someone make a Doom clone with the Dark Forces engine.

After playing the prequel (Dawn - A Prelude) I went back and played Dark Hour again. Thoroughly enjoyable, as before. Like being in one of the Star Wars movies.

Adventure-type TC with stunning 3D graphics (try it @ 2560x1600 :-) ). Gameplay is a bit briefing-based, and works quite well despite the need for some exploring. Overall not perfect, but way better than pretty darn good, so 5/5 for this 2001 (!) wad. RC thanks for creating & sharing this very nice adventure!

The best Star Wars themed map pack out there, don't miss it's prequel (Dawn: A Prelude).

This is very nice. I think ammo/health is balanced very nicely. Great new graphics and guns!!! Non linear. Awesome stuff! I feel a bit bitter, though, towards all the walking you lot made me do. I must have been lost about a dozen times (for not too long though) and I had to walk around A LOT to progress. Also, there is too much symmetry. I suppose that can be part of its charm and even realism but I feel it was overdone. Great work tho. 4 stars --- Starburst.

Hey everyone! It is now May 18, 2005 and Star Wars: Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith will be coming out tomorrow, of course. I am going to celebrate by downloading this wad. I recommend for everyone to go out and at least watch that movie. I hear that it will be the best of the new Star Wars series, and may even be rivaling the Return of the Jedi. Anyways, this wad looks pretty good so I'm going to give it a shot!

It was pretty impressive, but to be honest, I didn't like some of the sounds and the new weapons. Some of the sounds, because they were taken straight from the movies, had sounds other then them talking, screaming, etc in them, such as an explosion, or part of the music. As for the weapons, all you really did was change their sound and names, in a pretty poor way too I might add.

A haunting of the soul. Losing grip on reality and stumbling around your own home, lost in the gutters of your mind.

This is not a joke map and I didn't get impaled (not even once). For a demo it's a lot of fun. Favourite: The Matrix.

Had a blast playing through this 2001 classic on UV with saves although the last 2 maps were such a ball buster I wasn't sure if I was able to complete this wad but heavy save scumming prevailed 😅. Also I personal think Map 10 is the best Archvile only map I've ever played to where I think its better than both Plutonia 1 & 2 😈

A low-detail tunnel dungeon with tricks and traps, probably typical of dungeon crawlers. The execution falls rather flat, with too little detail and trial-and-error situations. Gameplay ends early, you don't need to go everywhere.

It's a cute first mapset by FractalXX, a mapper mostly known to be the project leader of Gridlock 64 and some other maps for other projects. The wad is strongly reminiscent of 90s mapsets and have quite good attention to detail, as well of lots of "bright colors"  in the textures usage that is rare to see in Doom maps. All maps are pretty short (the one that take me most of the time it was 10 minutes of play) and this mapset can be finished in a half hour. Best map in the pack is MAP09, but overall  a ok episode for pass the time.
