About This File

I started building this level almost a year ago, but with all my school work, I didn't have the time to finish it. I added some rooms and refined some of the areas and there you have it... a new map!

Note that this is NOT my best work so far. My 9th Gate maps will be better.

And by the way, this is a tech-styled map taking place in a warehouse (sort of).

Very nice little tech map. I do like this a little better than the second. 9/3/07

I liked this one and maybe liked it better than snq2 because it was a bit easier and I also prefer military base style levels than hellish environments. 4/5 - Optimus

This is dated April 2002. It's the prequel to id=11824, which I haven't played. The name stands for "Short 'n Quick", and you fight 49 monsters in a compact techbase. The gameplay is just tricky enough to be satisfying, but not so hard that it's murderous; it is in fact short and quick, and I enjoyed it. The design is in the pre-modern style, i.e. before the overuse of transparent panels and the cool blue colour palette.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
