About This File

As usually at that time of the year, Hades was really, really bored. Aside from the usual job of taking care of the poor dead people, there was not much else he could do -- all of the goddesses were on vacations in far away lands, and Persephone herself was too busy watching the soap operas to even look at him. And that's when he came up with an idea how to entertain himself -- to build a maze- like house, put one of those unworthy mortals in it, and see if he'll be able to find the way out. Sadly enough, you happened to be the only person Hades could find before the sunlight started to hurt his eyes. And thus you have been dragged into the underworld, placed in the House, and the game began. The grand prize is your life.

As a start map to a larger episode this is ok I suppose but I really was not impressed. there are some nice areas like the start room with the pyramid-like staircase and no faults in the map it's self I could see, however this was a very easy map and understandably short because it was intended for a full episode, however as far as I can tell only the 1st and 2nd maps were released. On its own this map is only worth 2/5 sorry guys but this is what I personally think.

Very good for 94, but short.

Short?!? Maybe because you don't know that it's a part of a full megawad (E2M1 - E2M9)... I vote 5/5 because it's surely one of the most well known pwad from the 94's - Jive

Good for 1994, but its sequel (HHH-22.WAD) is much better. 3.5/5

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
