About This File

Part seven in a series of levels to be individually released and then eventually combined to form a final compilation. Hidden in a valley at the foot of the Highlands, this region will surely test your nerves as you attempt to find a safe path through to the other side.

Boring? No way - this map is great. Wall-to-wall action. - Grazza

well.. i cant say it was boring, and i most definitely cant say it was great meby it would be fun in a coop game, but between the chaingunner swarms in the mountains and hoards of imp running at me it was just way to hard to enjoy, but if your looking for a challenge this might not be a bad wad..

awesome layout, but I took the wrong way and had to fight barons/viles/revs with just ssg/chaingun for more than half the map. Probably be fun to record a demo though, but I'd rather more power weapon ammo.

This is dated July 2002. It's a big, manly canyon castle level in which you fight 734(!) baddies. Undeniably action-packed, well-designed, but a bit monotonous, feels like it goes on much too long. Starts off horribly, gets better. Unfortunately the author has a limited stock of ideas - mazes, more mazes, bits where monsters on ledges fire down at you. Oddly damp final battle (the big fight is about 3/4 through).

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
