Extensive testing done with vanilla Doom2, Zdoom, PRBoom and Legacy.
This map is part of a mini series that I am working on. This is my eighth release. ;)
The series is called Blind Alley and will be about seven to ten levels.
They will all be released as singles and then combined once the series is finished.
My original design as map 11, "Circle Of Death" now running on level 1.
Artistic license used freely.
A nice fun smallish sized map with decent attention to detail.
You will never have for hunt for ammo in here. That is the least of your problems.
As with all my maps I don't scrimp on health, armor, ammo or monsters.
I would love to see any lmp's done for the level. Feedback greatly appreciated.
I have been mapping for about six years. This map was started a long time ago and just recently re-finished. It is not quite up to my current mapping skills but is pretty good. Concentration here, as always, is on gameplay. It is a very fun map, and is certainly no worse than my other early maps, probably better.
Some good old fashioned run and gun in here.
Stay awake however, or you could get very dead.
I consider this map easy in UV, but I know where all the monsters are.
UV in this map is however aimed at the experienced player.
Skill levels could come in handy until you learn the map.
Included in the zip file is a Legacy version 1.4 max demo of the map showing Layouts, 100% secrets, and 100% kills.
To play the demo use the following:
c:\doom2\legacy.exe doom2.wad -file BndAlyB.wad -playdemo BABgbO
This assumes your doom2 folder is on your c: drive,
and that you have the excellent, free, Legacy port.
Or you can run it from the Legacy Launcher.
