this appears to be a compilation of maps with no clear theme or design. you'll be seeing maps that look awful and play mediocre. it's clear as day what these maps are, they are 90's maps, some of them straight from Maximum Doom. there really is not much else to say about it, the maps here will have numerous issues (MAP23 in particular is incredibly fucked up), no music, for some reason there is a new shotgun sound, and nothing here really excites. I recognized quite a few levels, MAP31 is BEWARE.wad, MAP18 is COLOSEUM.wad, and MAP21 is OPOST21.wad, these are some of the better levels in the set at least by the standards Maximum Doom even had. the rest is forgettable garbage. most of the maps are simply Doom to Doom 2 conversions, putting in an arch-vile or chaingunner in a random location at times. treat it as it is, a mediocre compliation similar to the WADPAKs of the 90s.

Very regular map set, very chaotic maps, where it's very difficult and confusing to find your way around, you may get stuck in some places with no other option that use the good old idclip.

It's JyEpiBest!!! It's a conversion made by me for my site "Doom Legacy Wads" (aka DLW). And you need to read this file: http://www.newdoom.com/hosted/dlw/Doom/Converted.txt Normally, you shouldn't have find this zip file out of my site... I wasn't advised of the fact that this compilation, made exclusively for the DLW visitors, will be incuded in the "idgames Archive"!!! http://www.newdoom.com/hosted/dlw/Doom2_1.shtml#J_e_b Jive, August 24, 2003.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
