About This File

The adventure continues, and stuff. There isn't any backstory you need to know, thanks to cutscenes, but I suppose having played the first one may help out a bit.

The lack of movement speed really kills this game. It makes it nearly impossible to dodge any of the enemies' attacks, and makes the game incredibly boring to march through; even at running speed a simple hike takes way longer than it ever should. I played it all the up to where Q-Bot said his other transport vehicle is "quite a hike" away... then said fuck this. The wad had a lot of cool moments, but the pace ruined any fun I could have had with it.

BTW, Skulltag used Massmouth, not vice versa. The hissy idea was also nicked. Class WAD with ideas beating modern FPSers, (Including Half Life... Multi-endings) no ultra-irritating enemies (Cough...cough...Zipper bats...cough). Above all it DOES NOT TAKE ITSELF SERIOUSLY AND IT IS ALL THE BETTER FOR IT. Everyone else take note/rip off scripts from this. Slight problem in that Romero and MM sound alike. Infinite\5 stars :)

As much as I love this WAD, the Rex part really needs to be fixed. He doesn't pass the bridge at all. :/

I sure as hell this is a great wad. Too bad i'm playing it with Skulltag, so some levels are glitched, like the map where i have to bring the robot dog behind the lil' village, and the door that is supposed to open itself doesn't open :(... Anyway, "pretty darn good" wad, and you get 4 stars from me ! ~Rocky XIII, a french Doomer

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
