Negatives: symmetry. Also, a big Hall of Mirrors in the second room, which apparently can be fixed if I knew what to do with a .GWA file and using a "GL port". No idea which port and what to do with the file, so if you have an idea, please let me know, I am curious. Now, the aesthetics is an allrighty "tech" but not too orthodox which is a plus for me. What's the best is gameplay, if you want to play super aggressively, it's mega fun and the level has one of the best partial invisibility placements I've ever seen.

A series of tricky encounters that require fast movement and reaction to survive. Was really fun until a pain elemental went crazy, spawned 20 lost souls and made me waste all ammo, then I died. Probably my own fault, should have been more aggressive. Nice lighting effects, very good map overall.

It's hard, but fair! Too bad it's only 1 map. ~4/5

Not the best level, but the /newstuff review of this one sucks big time (see Sun Nov 9, 2003 /newstuff)

This is a tough small to medium size level. I made it through on UV and it was fun. 4/25/07

Finished with 1 (ONE) shell left, mind you I probably wasted a few on those bastard skulls. Very tough on UV -fast, died many times. Architecture / layout not particularly good, but you only notice that after the fierce battle has ended -if your lucky... phew!... 4/5

This is a decent but very unexceptional level from 2003. It looks much older, and really it just boils down to shooting a large amount of enemies in a series of square rooms and corridors; insofar as it has a lot of baddies, it's not bad, but the ammo balance is anally precise, and the pain elementals don't help in that respect. It requires you to press a non-obvious computer panel quite early on, has a nice although monotonous extended final battle.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
