About This File

This level was inspired by Schlagwerk, a cool Drum&Bass track by TaQ, from beatmania IIDX 3rd style.

This is a new version of Schlagwerk with various improvements.

The music was lost in a tragic accident involving an exploding goat factory. It's been replaced with MIDI.

This level also supports Deathmatch. In DM mode some areas are off-limits and some barriers are removed.

Far too cramped to be any sort of fun. And having teleport traps every 2 seconds is not funny (and not hard). 2/5

This is decent, but a bit of a slog. It's a small cramped gothic techbase level, packed with monsters, although it's not hard. The monsters tend to attack you in single file. There are lots of monster teleport traps, such that it becomes a cliche. There's just slightly less ammo for comfort. It's a shame there wasn't a berzerk pack near the start. There are some stealth monsters but they aren't annoying.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
