About This File

A set of crappy model-rip weapons, the Plasma gun from Doom 64, and a gun from lame Duke. Being my newbie mod, this was pretty crappy...I even hosted it on a Geocities webpage back in the day. The font I used for the title screen, Worldnet, was probably ripped from Blambot. (More info at the bottom)

Actually, this is pretty good, you just have to fix some animation problems and add muzzle fire (without it, some weapons don't even look like they fire [expacially the flare revolver, it looks like your shooting them out of your belly burron!]) and 1 more thing, fix those blue dots on the AK47.

Cold Hard Cash was a much better mod then this, but I guess he used this mod as a base to start going on up towards other mods, the quality of the palettes were crap, the animations were iffy and there was barely any muzzle flashes lol

Funny how your first weapon mod was utter crap, yet your next one (DOOMOS) was actualy really fun to play with.

an author dislikes his first creation; stop the presses please, they are coming in crushing torrents. giving this five stars because after observing how he gave fredrik and dittohead lip for calling him out for being stupid, it'll most likely piss him off.

It's not absolutely terrible, but you could have done better. BFG is HORRIBLE--you really need to work on this. It's like you just threw some shitty counter strike-like guns together in WAD form, took a shit on the wad, then posted it on DoomWorld.

Being the author of this mod, I'm inclined to agree with all the negative reviews. 1/5 -Weasel

      Dear Doomkid,

I was involved in the design and play-test of each of these levels. Please know these were created from *scratch* and we spent our time making sure the levels were as playable as possible. We were not terribly focused on texturing, other than to give players positional awareness in different parts of each arena.

Map 6 -- Offices of Death -- Was intentionally designed to be as accurate a representation of the office we worked in as possible. Admittedly, playability was taken as a second priority. We did manage to create working "elevators" and "stairs" to give the illusion you were going up and down floors. I was pretty happy with how we did.

Considering it was 1996, and no way to simply "Google" different ideas. Your best bet at the time was to jump onto the Usenet and hope you could find a decent board with active members. Other than that, it was pretty much all self-taught.

I'm glad you enjoyed the other levels. Yes, they are old-school, big arena, style. We spent a LOT of time trying to make sure they were as balanced as possible, with escape routes, and required risks for rewards.

Excellent stuff for the mid-1990s. Lots of action, good layouts, pretty challenging on UV.    9/10

For 1995 design is ok. But is VERY short. 3 min in slow pace.  Map is easy af.

Square rooms, no details, ugly. Secrets aren't flagged as secret. Only for crappy-wad-lovers.

For 1995, not bad. Some ideas, are really cool, but they're mixed with dumb things. Texture misalignments are common. Overall I had nice time with this.
