About This File

This is a UDoom wad, it was suppose to be a complete episode 2 replacement, but then some other stuff got my attention :) and the project dies. Still this map remains, I see nothing wrong with releasing it. The map is pretty nonlinear, You may complete it quickly, if You desire You can find all the secrets and prepare Yourself for the next map.

Havoc Crow

Bit of "style over substance" problem here; the map is visually polished but has barely any combat to speak of, and so the weapons and other pickups seem unnecessary. On the other hand, it can be seen as a pretty "jewelbox" for the player to explore and find all the secrets, with the monsters being just there for flavor. Annoyingly, couldn't finish this because, just before the end, a bug trapped me between a door and a nonfunctional lift.

I see how many people might view choice as good, bu personally I thought you really need to do at least a bit more effort before you can just exit. 3/5 since the architecture and design both are sound otherwise, as is the play in the whole map, even thought again I'm no fan of leaving 80%+ of it optional.

Repetitive, Unimaginative and Uninspired! Just joking. Very good wad and I liked the song. It has a very nice classic touch although doesn't look shitty like a map pulled out from 1994. I liked also the non-linearity of the map, which was good and didn't make map boring and retarded, unlike non-linearity of modern shitwads. Unfortunatelly it was very easy but that's Doom 1 problem because every Doom 1 monster is easy. Still 5/5 - Zalewa

Actually quite nice. The best wad I've played by NMN so far. And by a long way too. Nice and non-linear, with a good, constant pace. Maybe at times a little tight, with some of the architecture getting a bit in the way, but nothing major. 4/5

It could have been the worst level of all time and it still would have gotten 5 stars, just for the music. But the level was good too. -arrrr epyo

There is no challenge to be found here, but the sight-seeing and navigation is aplenty. The architecture is absolutely wonderful. There is no ugly over-detailing; just a good, effective design. The layout is incredibly non-linear, so the map offers a decent amount of exploration. Only recommended to those people who enjoy exploration. Don't bother playing this if you just like to blow your way to the end as quickly as possible.

I'm not sure what's wrong with the last star to give this one 5/5, but perhaps it's because of those various textures. In some places they were real pain for my eyes. On the other hand, excelent level! 4/5

A good take on nonlinear gameplay. Only wish the required route was a bit longer. 4/5

Excellent map and an interesting idea of giving you many options on how to play and complete it.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
