About This File

A city now mutated into hell. This wad is part of the final wad set I will make. I really don't know when I will stop, but when I do make my last wad, it will be in the kaiser_* series.

Nothing special about this map except for the fact it locked up on me. 5/1/07

This is dated August 2004. You fight 301 baddies in an E4-esque lava castle that surrounds you with action from the start. The lava is mostly harmless. In practice there's always enough room to dodge and it's good fun. Ammo is extremely tight unless you provoke infighting or just run away; it mellows out once you get the rocket launcher. There's an entertaining double-cyberdemon finale that's spoiled by a third cyberdemon, which feels like overkill.

Please don't vote a wad down just because Ultraviolent is genuinely ultraviolent. If you find it too hard on UV, use the lower difficulty settings. It's what they're there for. 5/5

This map is hard work. The start has to be carefully explored to not take the wrong route and run out of ammo. As usual for this author, there are many surprises and ambushes throughout, keeping players on their toes. Very enjoyable if you like to explore and play strategically. *****

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
