About This File

One evening, just about 2 months ago, I had this idea of creating just one ZDoom map together with some other mappers and friends. Well, who else could be mor qualified as the ZDoom.org community itself? :) That was the day, when I opened a new thread over at the ZDoom forums and telling those people my plans, and the rest is just history which can be read over at: http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=2935 By the way, this is the longest thread ever in the history of Forums@ZDoom.org with over 1000 replies (no spam) and over 10.000 views, amazing, isn't it? :) Thx goes to all the contributors, they really worked hard and also very fast, so this could be released within one month of developement!

Heh, Doom didn't die it's healthy and alive thankfully :) This is pretty much overrated though... really just feels like a big random test map for all the custom monsters and zdoom specific effects. 3/5

Simply legendary! One of the best parts of this map is that, like TNT:LE, Titan, and Geo I, it uses a series of newly custom-made monsters. The music got a little redundant through out the map; I suggest you try to take notes from Chris "Chopkinsca" Hopkins's map: Phocas Island (where the music changes depending where you go on the map. Play it and you'll see what I mean). Besides that, this map was awesome! I can't wait for ZDoom CMP 2 to come out! 5/5

This is just awe inspiring. I don't even expect this level of immersion from a full 32 level total conversion. Hell, I've paid money for retail games that don't hold a finger to this. ***** --reelmojo

This level was surprisingly tolerable. That's probably because it's only one level and not 32 gargantuan levels. What takes the most points away is the final boss. It is a giant afrit that nobody cared about enough to ass themselves to make new graphics for and they give it loads of one-hit kill attacks that it spams constantly because they couldn't think of any ideas and nobody played hexen before.

This was is fucking awesome, yes. Much like everyone said. However, the final part in Hell, fighting with the giant Fire Baron reminds me literally too much of Claustrophobia: The Wad. Not in a bad sense ofcourse! The reminder was awesome, the Claust wad was too. The way the last boss used it's attacks totally took the cake, inspired possibly by that wad, maybe others. Anyone who rate's this lower than 4, is a total moronic asshole that should shut the fuck up.

AMAZING! The new music rocks, the new monsters rock, the new graphics rock, the Zdoom goodies rock! And the gameplay definitely rocks. I enjoyed that super arena the most. I died once on uv - and just before that crzy megasphere too. Everything is balanced very well and it's all fun fun FUN. The end boss is awesome. Hope you find a BFG along the way :P 5 stars --- Starburst.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
