The Island

Decided to place my vote since I played this long ago, I believe it deserves a 4.5 stars so I will tip the balance with 5 stars.

I'm giving it 5 stars because if my computer could keep up with it it would be an awsome map. As it is though....it's the best slideshow at 320X200 I've ever watched.

It's funny because It's supposed to be a tropical island and yet there are no palm trees besides regular trees. :P

Challenging, fun level

For a tropical location it has the wrong kinds of trees. :P

Typical form-over-content level. The first scenes consist of some extremely decorated open areas, with little cover and a shitload of different monsters, many of them snipers, and poorly visible. The following inner scenes suffer from similar problems. Overall: despite the technical skills shown, it horribly fails on gameplay. As gameplay is the most important aspect of a map, I cannot give more than 2/5, which is a serious pity of the effort.

this map was...kool.the new monsters were very cool (by that time i didnt know theyre part of zdoom resource wad) and the atmosphere and all other stuff make this map one of the best. 10/5
