5 more Heretic maps stuffed full of monsters.

These maps are meant to be a challenge on Skill 4. If you play on Skill 4 and die miserably, don't be surprised. And don't complain, either. Play it on Skill 3! :P

After each map your weapons and ammo are taken. You get to keep your items. This is intentional.

Each map was taken from another project and worked on considerably. Here's where each map originally came from :

Clearly better than HoC I and II. No more time limit levels that are getting bigger and bigger with more and more monsters (I love that), and, new high point, the ammo/weapons quantity is now tigh, that increases the challenge level. Interesting idea for the the ending too (plus the new boss and the dark servant item coming from Hexen). Legendary wad, along with Gulag, even if it's another kind of gameplay. 5/5. ~Naan

Best Heretic wad I played. Doom and Hexen monsters fit well in Heretic.

I certainly enjoyed this. A map like this for Heretic is rare. Everyone does doom. Its nice to so something like this for the other games. The action is non stop and the layout is good and tasteful and not to mention the scripting. The doom monsters fit right in. 5/5

This is the one that realizes the potential of the HOC series. Looks great, and it's mind-bogglingly violent (which is good, if you can stomach it). And no more time-limits = Cool. The final battle DOES use a timer, BUT....well, I won't spoil it. The tradition of painfully stupid endings continues, but the WAD is so enjoyable that I no longer care. I did find this to be very difficult in places (skill 4), but that's NOT a complaint. Besides...I'm a Doomer, not a Heretic. --TDotW

      A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.

      Conceptually not bad, it's a pretty imposing tower with some decent lighting, but no ammo at all despite having the guns and a VERY obscure way to rise up the floor in the lava pit? That's a big downer. But overall, it's ok.

      Well, the map is pretty basic. The map is quite challenging, with there being 0 ammo pickups (excluding the backpack) outside of the starting room. There are also nazis for some reason. I will give it 2 stars only because this really wasn't meant to be played to be enjoyed, but rather just a example of how to build a map in DEU.
