About This File

No levels this time. What You have here is a full fledged ready to go texture set made by myself, fully. No fooling around such as combining Doom textures to make something new, nope, what You have here is 100% Brand Fresh from Scratch. The texture set was originally inspired by Quake 2 - a game that I missed while I've lost it. I've downloaded the Quake 2 Texture Wad (Props to Derek Mac Donald aka Afterglow) looked at all the beauty, got some ideas and started creating my own ones from scratch. In the latter time I've got my Quake 2 back on my comp, and after blasting some Stroggos I've decided.. that the set needs more textures :) I've also got some other inspiration and it all formed a very pleasent, dark, futuristic, desolated collection of graphics. I was going to build a level with them, but I've lost interest. Those were made in July when my project was paused, so in freetime I didn't fool around-I practiced :] Enjoy!

May I only say, that these are textures that were to be used in R-1, but we scrapped them since... NMN said he could do better :P -ellmo

Great work, they look superb, still some of them seem to look weird when placed in large walls. Anyway, five stars.

If i wouldn´t aim for my own style in my wads, this would really make a great addition to the common textures...good work -Vader

These textures are really good, I'd give it a 5 but I think the resolution on some of them could be better. Score wise, I'd say it's still pretty darn good so 4.

"dosn't even work" Hmm? And what does it supposed to do? Get naked in front of You? It's a texture wad, YOU're supposed to build levels with it. Also, if You're having troubles with setting this up in Your editor e-mail at Sonybono@interia.pl or ask at the forums/pm. Cheers to all commenters :) -N (rank: 5 stars for style - 2 stars for quality)

You use too much bevel. They are not bad at all. Very good actually. But they could be alot better. - Kristus.

Really awesome texture pack. The only bad thing is all the huge NMN signs slapped on some textures, which makes their use limited. Still I think it's 5/5. -Ix

These textures are good, some fit in well with Doom64 textures which was handy, but they just look ugly when used with regular Doom textures, so here's 4/5

It definitely makes Doom look darker, but also slightly changes colors (it reminds me PSX Doom). I prefer original Doom colors and miss how it looked on CRT (almost same colors as with modern monitors, but less brightness and maybe more contrast).

Great spirit/item placements, and also nice trap placements. Textures are georgeous and scream "1980's sci-fi action movie".

Some very cool techbases with a nice texture set and pallette.  The music is pretty epic.  And it all runs in vanilla! (Or so it is said, I played it in GZDoom)

I honestly can't believe that this whole megawad is 100% vanilla compatible and its only the first of THREE episodic megawads! Esselfortium and her team of creative energetic mappers has done an amazing job from the unique texture set, the music, the maps & even the tweaked color palette that fits the mood of the whole thing.    100% highly recommended! 5/5

A pretty straightforward map to run through, packing in tons of enemies in rooms both big and small. Most of the monsters you'll be killing are E1 monsters such as Zombiemen and Imps, so while there isn't much in monster variety, there are plenty of ways to get them to fight each other which I like. It might be better to try and get as many monsters to start attacking at the same time since once you get the Chaingun, not even the groups of Spectres are much of a threat. Overall though, the map is still fun to blast through if you just want to kill tons of monsters in packs.
