About This File

As you stumble through the rocky landscape of the Deimos moon you come across a dead body, something you've become quite used to, clutching a burnt and shredded piece of paper. You pry the sheet from his fingers and read it. You can only make out a little, but its more than enough. The paper describes a device that is used as one of the main warp generators that is bringing in all of this nastiness. This poor soul went to destroy it, but he failed. Well we can't have that now, can we? The paper gives vague directions to a rear entrance that would provide less resistance, and a map of the complex, but unfortunately the map part is especially burnt and shredded. Oh well! You're on your way. You know it may be your last fight, but you've known for a while that there was no escaping this place. You're already dead. You have no fear.

An enjoyable single level wad, with a few tricks, and traps, to make it interesting. The level does however have a few texture problems here and there, and the geometry isn't amazing, but is totally serviceable for the killing of the demons. Give it a try!

An early wad by a legendary mapper - one who went on to become a professional level designer. The map isn't very complex or difficult (I finished it at my first attempt), but is decent-sized and has good action throughout.

A medium sized map sets in a sort of church surrounded by burning men, graveyards and other type of stuff around. The level is simple but fun to play, both in SP and DM. Same simplicity reflects in the detailing work and fell.

A wooden and metal structure that also have some prisons, hidden locked doors as normal textures and everything here is brown, very brown. Overall a fun map with a fun gameplay and a spooky atmosphere, especially thanks to the music. Cool stuff.

A pretty intricate and fun to explore map sets in a semi-realistic castle with lots of secret passages, doomcute "realistic" furniture that even include a library made out of sector art stuff. The fact that this is a Retextured Doom map is shown greatly here. Pretty neat map, the only real breaker is that this map have a unused red skull key and other keys for the locked doors (blue and yellow keys)? At least i didn't find them. I had to noclip trough them for complete the map. If it could not be for this bug, it will be a great map. But overall, is pretty good. The baroque music is fabulous. Make me think of women in dress and huge wigs dancing in the marble throne room! Or demons in this case.

An old mid-1990s map, based around a large main arena which contains some interesting structures. For a while it's tough going, and you may die a handful of times (as I did), before getting the hang of the layout and formulating a strategy. Once you get the yellow key though, and access to the BFG, it should be game over for the baddies.   Your calculations can be thrown off track however if the Archvile decides to emerge from the movie theatre at an early stage, and take a stroll out in the open. Another thing to watch for is the Cyberdemon entering the said building while you're in one of the auditoriums, and blocking your escape. I experienced both of these events, with fatal consequences...

This is not a night sky, it's a space sky, with highly visible galaxies. It won't make sense on Earth because you can't see galaxies with the naked eye, but shall work in space and on any astronomical bodies without or with thin atmosphere.   Also there's a problem with the permission sections in the text files. The outer text file, published with the archive, says: which gives you limited permission to use the sky in your maps, but still not permissive enough to let you adapt the graphics to any modern rendering.   However, the internal (from the archive) text file says: which, while suspicious of lack of attention on writer's part, on this current state it means that you just can't use these graphics in your mods. You can try to contact the author to get a permission, so there's that chance.   So which one is it? Because without further clarification, "yes AND no = no".
