This truely is a legendary wad. Although some scripts might not have worked... I used 'God' and rocket jump to push my way through since movement was disabled..heh... Anyway, Doom & Sonic fans will really enjoy this memorable Zdoom TC. In the words of the great Adam Sessler---I give this a 5... out of 5. -DooMarine/Rozzle Man

Take two well know franchises and collide them at 100mph, Super Sonic Doom looks and plays like the result. UD can do better than this :(

Although the zone boss battles can be lame (I can see he tried, though), everything else including a step away from the same old, same old makes this game feel like an arcade game all over. I get some scripting bugs, but it may be my version of ZDoom. I do live under a rock, by the way. :) 5 out of 5. --prdarkfox

One of the best ones, don't be fooled by the simpleness of the first few maps ;) this one is AWESOME.

Oh i loved to play this wad very much. The levels are good, the enemies are cool and... this game is great. My complain is the target bosses which are boring to fight. But it gets 4 stars from me.

I will never forget this wad, it's so unique and has so many good features for a 2004 wad. tho, sadly I had to load 'n save everytime cause of it's difficult on UV.

Very interesting and priginal idea to realise the Sonic atmosphere, I think author had done it. But there are some bugs with killing the monsters 4/5 -Dragon Hunter

I went "WTF!?" many times as I tried to wrap my mind around the incredibly weird concept of this megawad. But I found that it was well crafted, and despite being very difficult at times as well as making my PC stutter (which shouldn't happen...), I found this to be very enjoyable. But I haven't finished it yet. Five stars, I WISH I could make WADs a quarter as good. --Crazee Boy

It's good. 4/5. I doubt it deserves all the flaming it's been getting. Even if some of the levels are brutal and tedious, it's got some very good-looking levels.

Ok so it's got Elements of Sonic The Hedgehog in it. Big deal. Frankly I hated the Alien Series TCs, but that doesn't mean all of them sucked. 2 years worth of work in this one, you have to applaud. I would of given up on the idea within a week. Still it's cool. You can't knock a guy down for trying something different, besides all the "DM" maps being made day in, and day out.

You either like it or hate it, and I like it. I can see that it has some things that some players don't like in it, but for me I'm always open to new, innovative ideas. D/L it, play the first few zones, and if you like the styly keep playing, if you don't like the style, quit and find another wad to play. For me it is a 5 of 5. Great work!

Excellent concept, OK execution. Some of the music feels out of place (cutesy doesn't work when you're breaking things and killing people), many of the bosses aren't very good, and the dialogue is either funny or lame (the best lines: "I know you. You're the Firestarter!" "And I know you. You're dead. Goodbye."). Overall a very good wad, but not quite one of the alltime greats.

Quality effort from The Ultimate Doomer, however, I'm going to have to dock it one star because of gameplay issues. Other than that this wad rocks. 4/5

Well hell dude if u hated then thats means u can do better, o yea, I really doubt u can do better >_< . really good especially when u think of the limitations of the DOOM engines. look back and remember DOOM when all it was was a FPS with like no real story. this guy made a story with cut scenes :D 5/5

I am impressed TUD. This wad is one of the best works of immersion I have seen. I thought that this is a unique idea and you have succeeded in acheiving it. 5/5 -kirby

It's kinda cool, but it doesn't really work with the latest version of ZDoom or GZDoom. It's still a great wad though.

So if somebody hates something that means they have to do better? That is a very, very stupid comment, anyway 5 stars.

Really good puzzle map in a big dark metal/stone building. It catches the atmosphere of Bob Evans' Eternal Doom stuff, and I think there are even some homages to some other Eternal Doom maps as well (for example, the big two-layered outdoor area looks a bit like the "amusement park" in MAP26).   In my experience the puzzles were a bit easier than in "Silures" or "Excalibur", but it's possible that having played a lot of puzzle map stuff since I played Eternal Doom, having played through the whole canon of Bob Evans and Jim Flynn, and liking to search for Doom secrets in every map has made me recognize certain tropes better. The puzzles I liked most were (the spoilers only give minor hints):
Gameplay is good too, at the start ammo is scarce so the chainsaw and berserk are your friend, and midtiers say hello from the start on, but hitscanners are the biggest threat. Rockets should be saved for archviles until you find the first larger cache.   9,5/10

Fun, challenging set of maps that looks much better than you might expect for the time it was made. These maps will still slap you around a bit on HMP if you're not staying sharp. The author is fond of Chaingunner ambushes which keep you on your toes. I didn't find the SSG until around MAP05, which was cool, I like when its not given out too early. Pistol-starting the last two maps is pretty tough, but doable.   The map designs do a really good job of letting the player see crucial areas from different angles through progression and the layouts are really tidy overall, and feel a bit more modern than a lot of other 94/95 maps I've played. There are some really nice large-scale vistas (like the start of MAP06), nice uses of verticality and a good mixture of tight and more open combat.   Recommended!

Spectacular visuals and engaging combat make this an absolute must play. There's a puzzle with a "Shoot the thing" answer that kind of comes out of left field and can be an easy place to get stuck if you're not on your toes, but that hardly stops the map from being a thrilling masterpiece.

E3M9's refrain of back-tracking to a church for keys is a little tedious, and there are a few moments where things can become a frustrating key/switch hunt as you figure out what to do next, but aside from that, this an intense and rewarding adventure with beautiful lighting and architecture.
