About This File

"The last thing you remember is trying to leave this god-forsaken temple of evil and chaos, only to find yourself being blown to bits by several large, hulking CyberDemons toting Rocket Launchers. So, how is it that you ended up here? You are in what appears to be the UAC base on Phobos, but, why? Something is wrong, however. The base has been overrun by hellspawn and you keep having strange visions of demonic evil flashing before your eyes. This cannot possibly be the base, but rather.. a warped reality of some kind."

Here comes the highly-unwanted sequal to one of the worst maps of the decade! Temple of Chaos 2 is the lousy sequal to the lousy, you guessed it, Temple of Chaos! Things you can expect to see in this map are as follows: Dull, Doom 2 Map07 style gameplay (having to kill monsters in order to beat the map), Random, overdetailed rooms, etc.

Sounds good? It doesn't? I thought so. Okay then.

The main reason I started working on this map is to test out some random idea that had popped into my head. I think it works quite well. I may possibly use this idea for a more serious map in the future (GEO - Part 2 anyone?) (not gonna happen)

Um, how can you call this a sequel when it's not even in the same category? Anyways, awesome concept and cool map. 5/5

IDDQD from the moment this started, sorry. Very nice design but completely unplayable for a rubbish player like me. One very small design flaw: Bad window textures in the last bit--use flats for window sector floors or transparent window (grates etc.) textures will 'spill over'.

I really really enjoyed this map. It was challenging and had gameplay that really suited my taste (claustrophobic SG/SSG action, MMM). Plus, I just love that mod track. :), I just wish you didn't self destroyed your story like that. It's ok if it's not awesome, but trashing it like that is just making things bad regardless. :/ Just look at Daedalus. The whole story they had worked out was trashed every time there was an intermission text. How fun. -Kristus

It's a mixed bag. Real intense and keep-you-on-your-toe s gameplay, but also cramped and gimmicky. It's more detailed and better executed than most wads, but still pretty full of the novelty factor.-GreazyShorts

I really like effects and atmosphere, but the gameplay was sometimes quite exorbitant... But after all legendary for me. - Damned

Not bad. So vicious a wad that it gets a little irritating after a while, but that's better than all the wads that are so easy and boring that they make you wonder why you even still play Doom.

Very nice. :) But yeah, there *are* people like me who do give a crap about the WADs' storyline, so... it would be nicer if you stayed in it and didn't make out-of-story comments like that. ^^ Still, five stars from me.

Unplayable crap. If you don't want people to beat your maps even on easiest level, just don't release this shit. 0/5

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
