About This File

"The last thing you remember is trying to leave this god-forsaken temple of evil and chaos, only to find yourself being blown to bits by several large, hulking CyberDemons toting Rocket Launchers. So, how is it that you ended up here? You are in what appears to be the UAC base on Phobos, but, why? Something is wrong, however. The base has been overrun by hellspawn and you keep having strange visions of demonic evil flashing before your eyes. This cannot possibly be the base, but rather.. a warped reality of some kind."

Here comes the highly-unwanted sequal to one of the worst maps of the decade! Temple of Chaos 2 is the lousy sequal to the lousy, you guessed it, Temple of Chaos! Things you can expect to see in this map are as follows: Dull, Doom 2 Map07 style gameplay (having to kill monsters in order to beat the map), Random, overdetailed rooms, etc.

Sounds good? It doesn't? I thought so. Okay then.

The main reason I started working on this map is to test out some random idea that had popped into my head. I think it works quite well. I may possibly use this idea for a more serious map in the future (GEO - Part 2 anyone?) (not gonna happen)

Great use of scripts to surpise you in all sorts of ways, and to keep you on your toes, and the detail is top-notch. Sadly, gameplay wise it leans more towards annoying rather than challenging, with rooms that leave little to bo breathing room, and a couple of encounters that are straight up unfair. Plus, the almost-way-too-happy power metal tune playing alongĀ feels completely out of place in here. The creator clearly has skill. This just isn't that enjoyable - at least for those looking for sth more closer to classic doom action.

This map is too short not in the "oh wow that was great, I want more!" way, but in the "What the hell? Over already?" way. This level ought to be two or three times longer. Five-star architecture and design minus one star for setting up such a great map and then cutting it off so early. 4/5 --Woolie

The graphics and special effects for this level were very good. The new mancubus monster was pretty challenging and would make a good addition to the monster resource wad (also beware of that BFG-wielding zombie). However, gameplay might pose a problem for the average player (or for those who hate close quarter fighting). The music was pretty good too. 4/5

I love the use of zdoom features, the impressive transformation of areas and the design. Well, the gameplay was a bit meh, so I'll round it up to a 4. That's just about it. Play it! -TeH NeXuS

Overall, a great map, the transition tricks were put together well. The difficulty was alright for me, so no complaints there. But that music track is extremely irritating; I had a headache before the two Hell Knights. I eventually got so sick of listening to it that I binded 'mdk' to my mouse and ran through to admire the architecture. (I know I could've turned it down, that's not the point.) I'd be leaning closer to rating 5/5, but since I had to take a fistful of Advil afterward, I'd say 3.5/5.

Very detailed, very good. Shitty gameplay though, kinda have to enable godmode to get passed some rooms. Pretty damn good though.

This one was neat! A short but brutal blastfest which hinges on ZDoom scripted battles which must be completed before the player can advance. It's cool to watch as the level morphs before your eyes while you struggle to survive against mobs of enemies in tight quarters. A great concept well-executed! 5/5 stars!

Very zdoomy, detailed and scripted. Easy to medium difficulty, modded hectebi are annoying. Overall gameplay killed by cramped rooms. 3/5 - Belial

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.
