I had fun and I loved the detail in it. Plus the wad wasn't ridiculously hard like some of the wads that people praise the socalled "gameplay" like Hell Revealed 2

Ok first off "very intense" bullshit. This map suffers from mostly horrible monster placement, A painfully linear layout and excessive detail that makes moving around a pain the ass. 3/5

Quite strange level: it's overdecorated far beyond functional. Actually it looks a bit like a lego box. Besides that, the map is short, layout basically simple and gameplay poor. Small 3* because of the huge amount of work.

Nice detail man, I like this level. Lots of stuff to look at but still nice and simple. 4/20/07

Cool wad. Why are so many people complaning about the gameplay, I thought the gameplay was just fine. Well as Tormentor666 says, "100% visual beauty + 100% detail addiction + 100% copy n' pasting + 100% sector/line count + 0% gameplay = 400% overall, so who cares?!" 5 stars -soft_haxorz

A ton of pointless detail used to cover up lacking gameplay and boring, linear map design. Very average. 3/5 - Belial

The detail in this wad is pretty outstanding. Unfortunetly though it doesn't serve any real purpose in the wad - although it does lend itself to the atmosphere in certain parts, while in others it just looks ridiculous and much overdone. 4/5 for the effort. If this map had some good flow techniques and was structurally appealing it would be a 5.

Don't play this one expecting to find interesting gameplay, surprises, or challenging action. The monsters are an afterthought. The real star here is the detailing. I enjoyed seeing what the author was capable of detail-wise, but it also made me realize how important gameplay really is. 4 stars is my rating, entirely for the detailing.

Anyone who says this focuses too much on architecture ... please! The level may be one of the most detailed I've seen, but it does not slack the gameplay either! 5 stars.

Great detail, but the lack of a good tough final makes the gameplay average overall 4/5

A nice little level. I particularly like the part where you come across the imps and the lost souls in that nice little formation. I yelled, "Hey assholes!" as I let 'em have it with ol' double-barrel

Decent techbase with too many unnnecessary sectors. Gameplay is quite linear, but the atmosphere is nice. 4/5

It's always easier to complain than to do better yourself. So I'd say it's fine, still it is indeed linear, cramped and a few times quite hard, but not unbeatable. Lots of detail. So I'd say 3,5 to 4 for the effort. Otherwise 3 for everything else.

Why is it people are obsessed with detil? There is no line where people are happy. A map is either underdetailed, or over detailed. You should just accept the wad as it is. And the detail and architecture in this wad is to boot. An impressive job, deserved it's place on the caco's. 5/5 - evilhomerdoomer

Yeah, this is the one map I'm surprised to see in the awards. Take away the detailing and it's really just average.

4/5, mainly because of the detial. The gameplay was fair, but it could have been better. The detail got in the way sometimes too, which can be an annoyance to other players - Kirby

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
