About This File

You are Sgt. Kebo Ludo. Member of the elite Special Operation Force left alone in a strange world.

You have to solve how to get to end without being killed. Not only by defending yourself against all the lovely monsters who want you visit them at HELL. Solve the problem of the Bounty, or the Atztec pryramid & the Phanton of the Opera.

I rely on the Shotgun, I think its the best all around weapon, besides Sgt. Ludo is too macho to carry a Rocket Launcher or a BFG. Those are girly-weapons. Besides solving how to get to the end of each level is sometimes not as easy.

Do NOT attempt to get 100% kills in all levels, if you do it means you cheated!!! If you like it, ket me know. This my second one, and do not know if I am doing ok.

Decent-looking maps with realistic areas (like a harbour with a boat, a shooting range, theater etc) marred by some absolutely hideously obscure progression.  This is the wad that made Kes get Slade so he could work out how the hell to get through it

Great idea but, I think, a discutable execution. The level design is "instable" and somewhat frustrating, there is no clue about how you may find your path, no brightness play, no texture play, nothing, you basically have to spam every wall. It's a shame.

Talking of E1M1 for exemple :

Keys aren't intuitive at all to find either, I had to look at the map on DoomBuilder to find out that the redkey is in a completely dark room :/

Also, boiling water all the place ? Kinda mean !

I appreciate the risk the author took though, alongside the fact that this wad is dated 1994, people don't tend to try things like this anymore those days, but still I can't just give this a 4 or 5 stars just because of that, there is objectively things that could had been done far more better, so 3 stars is well-deserved.

Try it yourself anyway, you will love it or you will hate it.

Wad is great, it features mandatory secrets, turning doom into an adventure, missing some textures though. I might make a remake. This is a great inspiration for wad making.

Got 100% kills, or within 5%, on all levels on UV and still had plenty of ammo at all times. But progressing here without an automap cheat would render it unplayable unless you enjoy pushing/shooting every wall. Merely OK overall.

OK, not bad at all, looks good but a few pretty frustrating bits of gameplay and not being able to get 100% kills is a bit of a Doom no-no... - pritch

This is close to being a very good episode, but there are way too many unmarked doors - and they are not even secrets, but places you need to go into order to make any progress through the map. Some slightly retarded crushers don't help the overall assessment either. 3/5, but it would be 4/5 without the annoyances.

Technically the first map sets in real life university, or at least the first officially accepted as one of those kind of maps. The map Is pretty complex and some areas are neat for a map made in 1994, big open structures with some good simple details in It, the layout Is intricate and good, expect for a pair of dead rooms hunting for keys and other goodies, but it's a good way to tell the player to explore the place. The only big issue is the yellow key door in the main courtyard area that doesn't open (at least in Woof port, the "latest" release) for some weird reason. Good stuff btw.

I feel like I increasingly come across these Eternal levels where there are wide open spaces that would normally feel desolate and empty, but something about the inclusion of these odd little setpieces makes it feel... oddly touching. It's like he isn't playing by the same rule book as other people. The castle map in this WAD is like being shrunk down and getting to walk around a diorama that someone has built.

Practically a Single player campaign sets in a very dark maze of corridors and ventilation tunnels (reminded me of Aliens TC), conceptually is not a bad map but in reality the broken and cryptic progression made me dislike this, as well as the blocked exit room by a impassible line. Too large for DM too imo. Wasted occasion for something decent.

A pretty wacky and funny gun replacements, as Stupid Bunny said long time ago. Fun stuff.
