About This File

A classic-Doom-style map. It's my first attempt at creating a reasonably-detailed and completely playable map. I've played around in editors before, but never made anything worth mentioning and never released anything I made. So this is my first release.

Nice job for a first try. Was a bit on the easy side. Some areas seemed under-detailed and incomplete. Could have used a bit more work. Definately fun though.

It's broken in vanilla: the first switch doesn't work unless you manage to kill the blue key shotgunner in a weird way. Use -complevel 9 in prboom+.

Very good and exactly what it says; a modest, classic-style map, just long enough for a quick blast but not too long to get boring. Marred only by a glowing blue maze (mazes are perhaps *too* classic) that started to give me a migraine.

Excellent map, well balanced, good detail and gameplay. Linear is the way I like 'em and there's only one area that's dark on purpose. I'm not a detail freak so the looks were just fine for me. 4/5 - Belial

Very good for a first attempt. Some parts were a little annoying (like the dark hall toward the end), and there was something I didn't like about the overall feel, but I can't put my finger on it. Still, nice job. 4/5

Great map. Impressive for a first time. Balanced gameplay and ammo. Gets a 4.5/5 becuase there were a few things that I am just nitpicky about. I'm giving a 5/5 to get it to 4.5 :) - kirby

****, but just barely. It earns that only from creative use of creatures and decent gameplay. The map design is far too linear and uninventive for my taste and reminds me a lot of all those crappy maps I can't stand in newer games. -sargebaldy

I think it's great. There are things that could make it better though. First and foremost, the fights could be made more exciting. This would improve the flow of the game. Secondly, well this is arguable I suppose and isn't all that important, but I think the detail is a bit overdone. Thirdly, try to avoid making your levels feel linear. Pretty much all Doom levels are linear but small things make them feel like the gameplay has depth to it. 3 stars - Starburst.

Too linear, but not bad for a first attempt. Some unnecessary copy/paste, and the ammo balance suddenly goes way off in the last battle. 3/5

      It's large 1995 map. Starting area is looking nice, but later author lost creativity and made mazy corridors. Very challenging because of overuse of chaingunners. It's extremely annoying. Lots of traps, Some clever, some not fair.

      For 95' map is really ok. A bit "blocky" design, but not bad. Map is rather big, it takes me 40min but i get lost in one place. Some good traps, IMO kinda challanging at the begining, before you get ssg. Overall good classic wad.

      Fun map that captures a nice TNT-ish feel with plenty of weird yet also nice looking rooms, groups of hitscanners and demons to blast through, and a sense of adventure to it. Taking the MAP14 slot, you would see the episode 2 skybox of TNT: Evilution and listen to the track "Cold Subtleness", both creating a nice atmosphere to the map. Worth checking out!

      Doesn't like the layout and monster replacements, I didn't found RL until got the yellow key and found a lot of rockets, the location where RL is confusing me, and it also not fun when you get kicked down from the cliffs by Revenants, Mancubus and Archviles after the way to Blue key door, the way to the teleporter just far enough to kill you if not killed by monsters which kicked you down. Final timed puzzle room just nasty as the cyberdemon and archvile fights in the same place, not sure why make the level so big but can't make the fights with them also on bigger place too?   It's not bad level but I'm sure the frustration level is sky high, and not sure the slopes from ZDooM do anything good to this level too.
