About This File

Geo X is an overhauled version of two different wads (sp_deny, and sp_geo), merged together. There is a lot of things that are different in this version.

In my personal opinion, the maps had very bad gameplay flaws. The maps were way too long and drawn out, and have been shortened quite a bit. Also, there are times where there just isn't enough ammo, and not enough weapon variation. You'd find yourself running throughout the maps with just the regular shotgun until almost half-way through the map. Weapons will now be found earlier and more frequent throughout the maps. Some new areas have been added, with others removed. Some detail has been added in some places as well. All decorate monsters have been removed, except for one single enemy. If you played the original versions of these maps and disliked them (as I'm sure you did), I'd highly recommend trying this. Even if you did like the original versions of these maps I'd still play it. There's quite a bit different, and I think it's for the better.

"Doesn't work under 2.0.63a." Good lord! How about thinking before You post something like this? Like updating the engine, visiting the forums. This space is for reviews mind You. Anyway, the map as sweet as other Geo series. 4 stars.. well tad repetive -N

A decent and exciting double feature!! A few mean traps, but still ok. About the engine stuff: sometimes I wonder why it has to be always the latest stuff, so I don't blame everybody who isn't doing weekly engine updates, or kernelpatches or whatever you like to imagine. For the WAD: 4

2007 tango... you are a retard the maps are well put-together visually, as with most spork-maps, but also as per old spork-maps, flow more like torm-maps (cough hallways everywhere cough) and as a result get dull and predictable. usimp is far superior -2012 tango

Once again Spork, you have outdone yourself. The architexture is extrodinary (or however you spell it), and I absolutely loved your item placement. One of the traps with the 3 Hell Knights in Map03 was extrememly cheap, but never-the-less, this wad is absolutely amazing. I hope that someday I can produce maps as good as you. -Tango

      It's large 1995 map. Starting area is looking nice, but later author lost creativity and made mazy corridors. Very challenging because of overuse of chaingunners. It's extremely annoying. Lots of traps, Some clever, some not fair.

      For 95' map is really ok. A bit "blocky" design, but not bad. Map is rather big, it takes me 40min but i get lost in one place. Some good traps, IMO kinda challanging at the begining, before you get ssg. Overall good classic wad.

      Fun map that captures a nice TNT-ish feel with plenty of weird yet also nice looking rooms, groups of hitscanners and demons to blast through, and a sense of adventure to it. Taking the MAP14 slot, you would see the episode 2 skybox of TNT: Evilution and listen to the track "Cold Subtleness", both creating a nice atmosphere to the map. Worth checking out!

      Doesn't like the layout and monster replacements, I didn't found RL until got the yellow key and found a lot of rockets, the location where RL is confusing me, and it also not fun when you get kicked down from the cliffs by Revenants, Mancubus and Archviles after the way to Blue key door, the way to the teleporter just far enough to kill you if not killed by monsters which kicked you down. Final timed puzzle room just nasty as the cyberdemon and archvile fights in the same place, not sure why make the level so big but can't make the fights with them also on bigger place too?   It's not bad level but I'm sure the frustration level is sky high, and not sure the slopes from ZDooM do anything good to this level too.
