"you have to backtrack all the way through the map twice, teleporters exist for a reason". No you don't. Switch tricks exist for a reason. :p

Well, my maps are critizided for the lack of health packs ... but this is far worse. I played at medium difficulty setting, and found myself in a cronical shortage of health, having to resurrect a thounsad times to finish the game. Anyway, I have to admit that the achitectures are nice, and well designed, and the mobs disposition good. Three stars, and thank to the author.

A superb map, very well balanced, a bit low on health if you fail to find the supercharge secret. Surprisingly low on ammo in the endgame. Keep it tight and you'll manage. Having to backtrack is not too annoying as you'll have some new monsters teleported in. Overall difficulty is nice and hard. 30 mins playtime. 4/5 - Belial

This is very nice but some gameplay things annoyed me. Like 2 archviles spawning right next to me with no hint of such a thing to occur. Also I found it harder to stay alive in the very beginning than in other parts of the level. Lots of nice detail though. 4 stars --- Starburst.

Four stars, great fun. I particularly liked the attack of the giant swarm of cacodemons - swarm, or flock? Covenant? What's the collective noun for a plurality of cacodemons? A grist? A bevy? A drove? A school? A mustering?

This is a big outdoor map with tons of monsters, but since they come in large clouds and hordes the map isn't overly complex. The difficulty is just right, the secrets are easy to find if you're attentive and the map has a nice oldschoolish atmosphere overall. 4/5 -Milian

Nice map, though the gameplay is a bit disjointed. Contrary to what it says in the text-file, a Boom-compatible port is needed. If you play it with a *purely* limit-removing port, then two revenants obstruct some pillars near the red key, and stop them lowering.

A very well detailed and good looking map. I would have liked the health balance to be a little less unforgiving though. Overall this is a joy to play through, even with excessive save/load type of gameplay I tend to hate. Also, can't help loving giant hordes of cacodemons. 4/5

Nice big map. Detail and action. The cascade of cacos after the last key room is beautiful and annoying.(A hard 100% kills map :P) Not so great ending. I was expecting heavier enemies on there (Save some rockets for teh IMP massacre =):P). 4/5

Really nice. It's not quite up to par with the best DOOM maps out there, but it certainly deserves 4,5/5.

Yeah, a great one. Nie architecture, great stuff to slaught through. A little mean sometimes, indeed. So I'd cut 1 star but I also add a star for the EXCESSIVE use of Cacodemons. The sky was full of them. OMG! I nearly left ground when I saw that. Beautiful! (Of course that's really hard to beat, but beautiful anyway.) To leave distance to the 5/5ers like Action or 3057 I'd say 4,5.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
