Good flow, felt like an E1 map, though could see some iDBase (from Quake) seeping through. The "locked" blue key lift activating puzzle was pretty awesome.

Otherwise not too much else great here, pretty average, not any big faults apart from:
- Pinky fights were pointless tedious and annoying.

- Could've done without the spectres

- Needs some more variation beyond thousands of locked switch doors

- Texture offsets need to be improve, STARG3 not "flowing" into STARGR1 in some areas for example

- Could use a few more stimpacks & shells around.

This has the potential to be good but the combination of boring combat and unnecessary switches (why does every door require a switch) makes this level mediocre.

To me it felt a bit uninteresting. It feels similar to the originals but it doesn't really do anything to engage the player. The pig fights put me to sleep - give me a rocket launcher ^^. There's nothing bad about this map, which is terrific. 3 stars --- Starburst.

So, judging by the review on /newstuff, even the esteemed mordeth is a dirty anime faggot. People who use those stupid emoticons need to be killed. Slowly, painfully. Then the world will be a better place.

oh and please note, that by 'anime faggot', I don't necessarily mean people who like anime, just those obsessives who never shut up about it and/or use those STUPID emoticons.

This is from way back in 2005. It captures the E1 ambience very well and feels just like a good user-made level from 1994 or 1995, but with better texture alignment. It's more switchhunty than the original levels and the ammo balance is tighter; I found myself pistoling demons a couple of times. Very linear, and the bit with the blue key is just unnecessarily fiddly, but it's good short-lived fun overall.

Yay, it looks like E1! Wait, it's boring as hell, this can't be E1. 2/5 - Belial

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
