About This File

This is my 2nd level from scratch! I know from experience, that no one really appreciates the work that goes into making one of these levels, unless they themselves sit down and try to create something they haven't seen, or try to improve on things seen in other peoples work. This level has taken between 200-300 hours of thinking, lining up, thinking, confusion, sheer enjoyment because the damn lift finally worked, thinking, and last but certainly the most important, It was an incredible experience to create something that others will definately enjoy. Of course, if I knew then what I know now, it would have been completed in half the time. This level takes me 25 minutes to complete, but... of course, I know where everything is. :) AND REMEMBER... ONLY WIMPS CHEAT!

A good map with nice gameplay and flow. Not as good as some other '94 wads from this /newstuff. 3/5 - Belial

Not nearly as good (or pretty) as the author's later offering "Imps'R'Us 2", mostly because of a randomness in texturing found in many '94 WADs. The progression is a bit awkward, and there is also a poorly done maze (sort of). However, there are some good fights and hidden goodies in "impossible-to-find " areas. I did like the ending, but I suspect many people won't. All in all, just about your average '94 WAD, and not good enough to recommend. --2/5

Rather rough level showing some promise but also signs of the author still learning his "trade", which back then had a rather steep learning curve, as implied in the text file. Play does offer some challenge, especially from deadly shotgun guys. One thing that annoyed me is that at the end, if you step back from the rising floor, you can't get back up, and are unable to complete the level! [2/5] ~Chain Mail (03/2011)

A 1994 map in 1994 style: bare, simple and linear. Plus, this one has many nukage areas, which makes gameplay annoying in places. There are many monsters, but they mostly come in hordes. Overall, gameplay is medium to hard. You'll need some agility and shooting accuracy to survive this. 1.5/5 -Milian

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
